This place is a very unique place to stay. Very rustic. I liked it a lot. Check in was easy as well as check out. Did not have a mini frig or hair dryer. For some reason, we could not get the fireplace to work. Coffee on the balcony in the morning was nice. Great coffee and Keurig coffeemaker. Bottled water furnished as well as bath soaps and shampoos.

I liked the location and the room was clean and property is very quiet the brook winding through the inn is very nice. The only problem we had was checking out early. Staff doesn't tell you that you can just leave keys in room upon leaving. That would be useful information for anyone staying here.

Super cute hotel and is a nice escape within the city. For someone who likes to sleep with a fan on, they had one in the room. Amazing! Internet was out and it did not get good cell reception.

We really WANTED to LOVE this place, it has such "good bones" but alas has been neglected for way too long. For instance there are indications of multiple generations of window coverings (mounting holes, mismatched paint etc). We saw many such examples that could be remedied in less than a day by a handy man in each unit. Such a cute property, but in need of TLC.

Pictures shown did not represent the very worn dark room we were booked in to. They did give us a different room that was nice. This hotel could be quite charming with repairs and updating but it is past its prime. Also there were no ADA rooms. This was a real issue for my traveling partner.

The property garden itself was beautiful but the rooms need some updating. There was no staff when I arrived, so as a solo traveler this felt a little creepy. There were also no other guests so it seemed a little Erie, I ended up begging my partner to come stay the night with me. Website also promises wine and cookies, there were no amenities besides coffee in the room, and no one around to ask about the amenities. Beautiful property, good location and with charming gardens, but needs staff and updating.

Love it!!!

We stayed for a birthday weekend getaway! We absolutely loved it! Very cute and charming. Tons of character! We had a bolted ceiling room with a wood beam going through it. Also had our own balcony that over looks the Garden and the babbling brook. Very clean and comfortable. There is no fridge in the room, but we had our ice chest since we were planning to hit the beach. So it wasn’t an issue for us. It definitely is one of the older places in Santa Cruz, so if you’re looking for super high end then it’s not for you. I still would recommend to giving it a try because this place was super quiet and tranquil. We plan on returning to the Babbling Brook for our next visit! Love it!!

The place is unique and pretty. There was no staff office was locked up I had to call a number to get a code to get an a lockbox to get our key. The creek had no water in it. But it was super cute bed was comfy they had a small coffee maker . I would stay again but only because of the landscaping and how unique it was. It was Very quiet Bathroom TINY!!!!!!! Door didn’t lock
