My husband had a lovely stay at the Locanda Herion! Not only is property spacious and clean, but it’s also conveniently located to explore Venice and surrounding area. The staff were also kind and friendly. Our train was departing a little later in the day so we requested a slightly later checkout and they happily accommodated our request. We enjoyed our stay and definitely would stay again!

Great location super close to everything, we walked everywhere from the hotel and we caught a train to Ravenna from there and it was about a 10 min walk. The staff was very kind and helpful and the room actually bigger than the pictures seemed. Just perfect for three girls on a short trip before a cruise. Also, we caught the Alilaguna from the airport and it was like a 5 min walk from the stop.

Room was conveniently located on an island. Within walking distance of the train station so we didn’t have to take a boat to get there. Plenty of shops and restaurants in the walking area. Is not staffed with a receptionist in person that’s all done by messaging. You get a code to come into the main building and then you get a code for each individual room. The shower had good water pressure! There is a housekeeper that comes each day and she’s very friendly!
You can leave your city tax fee in the room so they have to keep her picks up. Remember to bring euros in cash only to Venice!

Overall, our stay at **Herion Hotel** was okay. The room and location were good, and the hotel worked well for our trip. One thing to know is that the hotel uses **WhatsApp for the check-in instructions**. We didn’t have WhatsApp downloaded, so the check-in process took a little longer than expected. The weather was quite chilly when we arrived, and without the instructions it meant waiting outside for a bit while we sorted everything out. Once everything was resolved, the stay was fine, but I would recommend **downloading WhatsApp before arrival** to make the check-in process easier and faster.
