10/10 Exceptional

For an older hotel it was very clean and I liked the atmosphere.

We loved our stay at the Malaga Inn! Jordan, the owner, was very attentive to our every need. He also helped us with information about the area so we could experience Mobile as a local in some aspects. The courtyard is beautiful and a wonderful place to relax after an eventful day. We will stay here every time we visit.

Our stay was absolutely amazing!!! The onsite Manager felt like family by the end of our stay. She went over and beyond for us. Our stay definitely felt like we were in a different time era. The hotel is well preserved with so much history to learn about. We will definitely stay there again!

Charming and quiet

We like staying at the Malaga Inn because it’s walking distance to venues yet tucked away and quiet. It’s been there awhile but has an ops world charm. Definitely will stay there again.

Our stay was wonderful, only thing I can complain about was the cable couldn't play right the whole time. But friendly staff, fast check in. And the place is beautiful! ❤️

Very unique hidden gem. Room was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Only negative during my stay was the elevator was out, but it was no real issue. Loved the area around the hotel and the parking was easy.

Best hospitality and so much charm!

We absolutely love this place. The owners are amazing and so helpful. They go above and beyond to ensure your stay is the best. This is now our “go to” hotel whenever we make a trip down to visit our daughter at college. The hotel is old but that is part of the charm of it and why we enjoy it. We love that’s it’s close enough to walk to nearby restaurants but not in the middle of the hustle bustle of everything. Sheets, towels, and rooms are always clean. Only small thing that would be a great improvement would be some newer mattresses and some work on the walkways on the 2nd and 3rd floors. And maybe a drink machine. Other than that, I have no other complaints. We love the Malaga and will be back every time they have availability on our trips down south.

Beautiful historic building with modern amenities

Beautiful hotel. I wish I’d had more time to enjoy it, but I was just passing through. Thank you to Kathy for staying to let me check in late after a very long travel day. The A/C was a bit weak, but to be expected in a historic building. It managed to get the room to 73.
Katie, 1-night trip

Building was very clean but needed updates. We had a problem with our original room and owner immediately switched us to another room. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Needs updating

Uncomfortable beds. One was broken the other slumped in the middle. Front desk was only manned once the entire time we were there (at check in) did see front desk person outside smoking at one point. Decor needs updating. Even if you’re going to have vintage decor, it needs to be in better shape than what they had in our room. I stayed there once before and the service and room was much better.
Armoire was in really bad shape
Crooked..small roach in sink
Kind of a strange set up
Shower curtain was in rough shape
