Lovely hotel in a beautiful location but in need of updating. The wood floors in the rooms need sanding to remove the signs of years of wear & tear. The double plus room (lounge & bedroom) was perfect for a family with a teenager.

We were really pleased with this interesting looking hotel tucked in amongst the fabulous trees of Pyynikki. It's quite a dated, stylish building and it constantly felt like we were on a film set because of the style and decor of the place. It is brilliant. They have maintained the hotel very well and restored it with care and consideration. They clearly respect the original style of the place and so they should. The hotel is quiet, the room was cosy and clean and the staff are simply excellent. We borrowed bicycles from out front which we found to be in perfect working order as we took a tour around the lake. The breakfast buffet was superb. Very thorough. We ate an evening meal which was excellent. Hot showers with good pressure and very good AC in the room. Very happy. We'll stay there again I'm sure. Thank you.

Lovely hotel nearby lake and forest

We had a lovely stay at the Rosendahl, room was spacious - with a lakeview (and a tub!). We used the hotel bikes to visit the city, and the route was super nice! Reception staff didnt give any information without specifically asking (breakfast time, check out time, pool / sauna hours, parking).. which was the only nuisance we had. Sauna was cold in the morning, which was a disappointment. Hotel was tidy and breakfast delicious. Would accommodation here again!

Very lovely setting in the outskirts of Tampere, and a very nice hotel. Had a lovely view from my room towards a lake and a lush, green area. Very scenic! The pool area is quite decent, and the restaurant was pretty good aswell - we had a wonderful waitress, who took such good care of our entire group (tip her well!)

Location

I was kinda surprised that the hotel was kinda isolated, I thought it would be more accessible to the city center. There was one public bus that stopped outside the hotel. And walking down there the first time was kind of an adventure.

The hotel stay was overall very good. But a few things need improvement : 1) Parking space for each car was too small that everyone had trouble finding a spot without a car parked beside. Otherwise we couldn't get out of the car! 2) The opening hours were only written downstairs on ground floor. So we wasted the kids' drink service for we couldn't find the bar opening hours in the room. 3) The room and bathroom was outdated and wasn't clean. But we enjoyed the stay overall, the location was perfect!

We arrived late afternoon & ordered dinner from the restaurant. The staff mixed up the menu order & gave my travel partner (with severe food intolerances & disabilities) my spicy dish. The dishes looked similar, so we only realised this after my travel partner had already eaten a portion of my spicier dish. This then resulted in my travel partner becoming severely ill & missing a full 3-days of a prepaid (€450) 4-day business confernce event at the hotel, all due to this staff incompetence. Also, when we drew this to the attention of the staff at the time, there wasn't even an apology & they were put out, that we were merely asking for their mistake of suppling the wrong menu orders to us, to be rectified. At the time, I actually ate the wrong order brought out to me. But in retrospect I should have also insisted my wrong dish was likewise changed. However, unfortunately all the damage was already done. Their negligence resulted in my travel partner (& my carer) with severe food intolerances & disabilities, then being severely ill & confined to their room, trying to recover from the staff mistake for 3-days. In addition to being out the hotel costs, my travel partner also lost €450 ref the prepaid conference expenses for an event they were unable to attend. In summary, the staff negligence & inattention resulted in a complete disaster of a stay for us both. If you have any food intolerances, allergies or disabilities beware, I wouldn't recommend this Scandic Rosendahl Hotel!

Aamupala oli hyvä ja monipuolinen, maut olivat kohdillaan. Kuntosalin laitteet olivat vanhoja ja ne natisi ja olivat mielestäni huonolatuisia. Laitteita pyydettiin pyyhkimään käytön jälkeen, mutta pesuainepulloja ei näkynyt. Pingishuoneessa pyöri isoja pölypalloja. Allasosasto oli ok, viihtyisyyttä olisin kyllä kaivannut. Pukkarin kalusteet oli nuhjuiset ja kuluneet. Ja mikä oli talvipuutarhan tarkoitus? Ihan kiva, mutta mitä siellä tehdään? Lastenhuoneessa oli vain muutama kulahtanut lelu. Hotelli oli melko kallis, joten vähän enemmän siltä odotin. Maisemat kauniit ja sijainti hyvä.

Sitten viime reissun hotellin huonehintaan ei enään kuulunut aamiainen eikä yöpymisen ajaksi ilmainen parkkipaikka. Aamiainen nyt 13€ per henkilö ja parkkipaikka 8 €. Kannattaa huomioida vertailtaessa hotellihintoja.
