This renovated home was absolutely charming! The train being right out front was a blessing for getting around town. Great location! The street we were on was beautiful. Entering our room was like stepping into an elegant past with the joy of modern air conditioning. Even climbing the stairs added to the charm. The bathroom was dated and disappointing, but not enough to keep us away in the future.

We spent four nights at Beacon Inn 1087 and loved the location. The convenience to the T station, several excellent restaurants, and a nice walk to/from Fenway Park made it a perfect choice. Our only issue was that the shower/tub valve and faucet needs to be replaced (it would shoot water onto the floor), and we did mention that to management as we were leaving. I would have liked to have an in-room coffeemaker (and would probably bring my own if we come back) as we were on the fourth floor, and it was a hike back up to the room from the first floor with coffee. They did have very good muffins, however! The list of local restaurants was very helpful, and we tried three of the places on the list. All of them were terrific.

Close to a 'T' stop. Bed was comfortable and room large. Bathroom a bit tiny but it is an old brownstone. The location is it's primary draw. There are restaurants and a convenience store a block away across the street. Everyone was pleasant. It's a solid choice when in Boston.
