A basic hotel, convenient for both Gare de L’Est and Gare du Nord, but in a noisy and challenging area for those of a nervous disposition especially at night. Room was small but clean, a fan was provided but even with it on the maximum setting the room was stifling.

It was not a good area. During the day it was decent at night it was scary. The reviews for this hotel are deceiving. This was more like a hostel with a private bathroom. I will attach a picture of our room. The bed felt like we were sleeping on a plank of wood. The pillows were small and flat. It was not a pleasant experience. I do not blame the staff. They just work there. Both people we dealt with were very kind. Personally I will not stay there ever again. I immediately booked another hotel that same night and we only slept there because it was late when we got in. We checked out first thing in the morning.

The hotel is quaint, clean, well located and very friendly. The breakfast is very good and good value for the area. The area itself is vibrant, fairy safe, and cosmopolitan. I loved my stay here and especially want to praise the receptionist Roxanna who was a delight to deal with - pleasant, courteous, helpful and always with a big smile; particularly warming after a very long and wearying flight!

The room space was small, the windows were dirty. The sound barrier to the next room was poor. The breakfast staff were very watchful as if you will take an extra piece of bread. The coffee is served in a measured cup, with just enough creamer if you want some. They were not welcoming at all (breakfast staff). Front desk staff is polite, answers questions if you ask. The place is convenient and walking distance to lots of restaurants and small shopping stores.

The accomodation was simple, no air conditioning but a fan was provided. The room was clean and comfortable, well insulated from outside noise so we had 3 quiet nights sleep. Breakfast was continental, cereals, fresh bread and croissants, which were very tasty. Close to both the Gare de L'Est and a metro station, Gare du Nord only 15 minutes walk. The owners were very helpful and the lift worked well (6 floors). A well managed hotel.

This hotel is 100% fine. It is not roomy, there are no amenities to speak of. But it’s about a 20 min metro ride to everywhere in Paris. The Rue Faubourg Saint Denis behind the hotel is an amazing street with tons of bars and restaurants. The hotel is a couple blocks from Gare de l’Est and a block from the metro. The staff were nice and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again.

At the bottom of the side road next to the hotel there was a road with lots of bars with a vibe and eating places and a monoprix. It was a 30min pleasant walk to the Louvre and close to the Gare du Nord so great all round.
