Our stay

Had a great service. They upgraded our room free of charge. We didnt ask. Staff friendly and helpful. The room had a mini bar with bira and soft drinks. Prices were reaonable and clearly advertised. They have a bar & restaurant but we didnt use it. There is parking by the hotel. The breakfast is good. Lots of choice.

Location is convenient but on busy highway so front of hotel is noisy if you want a quite night pick a room at the back. Breakfast is really good. One negative feedback is there is cigarette smell in the hallways and sometimes in the rooms. If no smoking policy is fully enforced that would be good.

Happy Customer

The staff were very professional and helpful. Offered free upgrade. Only gripe wi fi was patchy. Shower fittings was leaking and couldn’t have a bath as water was not hot enough. Simply rectified

The room was clean and tidy. I think the lady at reception's friendly and helpful demeanor alone earned it five stars from me. I was very pleased.

Good: Staff, Room size, breakfast selection were great. Not Good: Parking on the street not good. Common areas were hot, AC in the room took sometime to cool down the space. Small elevator not good.

Clean rooms .Nice touch with kettle .Just a little out of the way to get to. More of a case that metro card system is terrible and no service ,so to and from with buses. Buses and Ferries you can tap on with any debit card ,metro ,no

Home in Istanbul

Very nice boutique hotel with excellent service and breakfast. All members of the hotel team are kind and humble, trying to do everything for your comfort and organizing all things (transfer, COVID test, tours, etc) in order to meet requirements of their guests. The location is very close to main seasights and you feel yourself safe. Also you can use metro and tram to other destinations like Ortaköy, Küçükçeşme lake (you can buy there Turkish products much more cheaper than in centrum, amazing view and park like a forest), Zeytunburnu (if you like Central Asian cuisine), Bagdat street (gorgeous and stylish), Nişantaşı (for shopping) and other underestimated districts of Istanbul. I hope to see you soon Birgül hanım, Sayran, Ayhan and other members of the hotel team. Thank you for your kind assistance and hospitality)

I am a foreigner from Canada that does not speak any word in Turkish language. That being said the staff here at Avwan hotel has been really helpful in helping me with some staff speaking english and others trying their best with google translate. The hotel room was quiet and room service was really good also. I had a specific request about the washing of my clothes and everything was done accordingly :) Last but not least, I even had help with tickets and lift to go take the train to the airport in the morning so I could go back home. Thanks to all the staff for the tremendous help. Didn't know Turkish people were that kind and I am happy to know it now.

Positives and negatives...

Check-in was welcoming. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Proper crockery in our room. BUT Curtains in the room came off broken curtain rail. Dirty windows such that we could not see out in the morning sun. Only one menu tablet in the restaurant is definitely not enough. My evening meal arrived ok. My wife's evening meal was incorrect on arrival. Sent it back and an hour later no replacement meal had arrived. We put in a complaint but there was NOTHING put right, only excuses from the check-out desk even though they had read our complaint. This hotel is not living up to it's promises.
Avwan Hotel's unfulfilled promise.

Personel ilgili.
