When we drove up to the hotel the front entrance was dark and not accessible. We drove around the back and parked. To be honest, as two women, after dark, this was intimidating and a little scary. We were concerned for our safety. The clerk inside was pleasant and explained the front entrance had been damaged by a truck over a year ago. That caused some concern - why hasn't this been repaired? The room was comfortable and seemed clean. First impressions matter as well as curb appeal.

Was very hard to find considering the only signage is hidden behind trees and does not match what we reserved. (Lake Norman Inn & Suites is now Garner??) Had no idea the name had changed and never received an email letting us know so that was a little difficulty before we even checked in! Other than that things were good. The breakfast area was adequate and kept clean throughout the breakfast time. Fair variety of options.....would have been nice to have some fresh fruit choices like apples or bananas. Liked having coffe and tea available round the clock!

Almost regretted booking this hotel based on past reviews, but our experience was excellent. They’re undergoing renovations, and not sure if all rooms have been completed, but ours was. Everything looked fresh and clean, from floors to sheets. Staff was kind and friendly. Great room for a low price.

The hotel was under construction.the pool was closed.the bathtub was super slippery and I almost fell twice.had to put a towel down in the tub as housekeeping could not find any type of mat.i like the location just off the interstate and close to restaurants.if you like to swim I would call ahead as to when the pool might be open.

This place is a find! Price is low for what you get, and much lower than other nearby properties. Breakfast buffet is delicious and ample, rooms are spacious and clean, and staff is friendly and prompt. Location is excellent, close to I-77 but not noisy. It's in a charming suburb with a nice downtown, Cornelius, and near Davidson, with highly-reputed Davidson College which has a beautiful campus. Nearby Lake Norman is large, pretty and lined with beautiful homes.
