I will be reporting this hotel to the county health department. I checked into room 106, and upon inspection, found a cockroach on the curtains. I only have a video recording of the roach, but Hotel.com doesn’t seem to allow video upload in reviews. Immediately, we called the front desk to inform them, and a man stated they would send someone to the room to check it out.
About ten minutes later, the front desk called back, and a woman requested that we come to the office so they can give us a different room. We denied this solution, as one roach is often a sign of more, and we requested a refund, to which they denied. I informed them I will dispute the charge immediately, and would be checking out. As my friend and I packed the car, two male employees stood outside the office and watched us the whole time. I’m currently disputing the charge, because aside from the cockroach, the grime and stains we found on the walls, light fixtures and cigarette burns on the comforter is unacceptable. This place is unsanitary, uncomfortable, and unhelpful to their guests.
I reached out to Hotels.com to seek support for a refund, however I received an email stating they could do nothing, only offer me $25.
