This property is dated and in need of an upgrade. The staff were friendly and courteous.

2/10 Poor

Old, poorly maintained Smelled bad. Flys..

Very poorly maintained. Room filled with Flys. I did not stay. Since I had pre-paid I'm stuck for the bill. I would not sleep in the room. Went elsewhere.
Ronald, 1-night trip

Motel reminded me of motels that people live in full time. Our room had coffee but no coffee maker an ironing board but no iron. They had a picture of a pier on their website but there was no pier. There was a very loud party in the next room that lasted well into the morning but I never saw a manager or the office open just a note saying if you want to check in or need something, call a number. Horrible.
Kathy, 4-night trip

2/10 Poor

The room was dirty and smelled of mold and cigarettes. When we arrived the front desk was unoccupied at 7:00pm. We had to call a number to check in. Upon arriving at the room. There was no Air conditioning turned in and the room was disgusting. We promptly left and found far superior accommodations in Chincoteague for only slightly more per night. I have never left a negative review ever. This is the first negative review I have ever left.
Arlo, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

The plastic pool chairs were broken so you could not lay back in the sun. Nobody was in the office, you had to make a phone call and when somebody became available they would either meet you in the office which was always locked or they would come to your room to see what you needed, so you had to wait before you could go anywhere
John, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

This property usually has decent rooms, but the larger kitchenette room is terrible. There was a mildew smell i was trying to mask, floors felt uneven underneath, the space was outdated, and I had bed bugs on me after slept. Also the kitchenette has no pots, utensils, or plates - so bring your own. Of course, you get what you paid for, but you're better of staying in one of their basic rooms which aren't bad.

Friendly staff. Room was clean but really musty smelling and furnishings looked like they were from the 70s. Lights on outside the windows and difficult to sleep even with the blinds closed.
April, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Stayed 3 days, enjoyed

Nice place, family owned hotel. Across road from the water. Theres a nice pier to walk out on the water if you want. The room had a nice cold fridge, microwave, ice machine was close by. Small pool was great for my daughter. Rooms all on 1 floor, chairs there to sit outside. The pool closed too early for us, but we understood. We had a great time, got food delivery from a local restaurant, and were able to find lots of things to do.

Very close to the water, Main Street in all restaurants. Nice day off. Doesn’t look like much for the outside, but the rooms are spacious, well appointed. Refrigerator, two sinks. Too nice beds, microwave, bath, and shower. Coffee in the room and free continental breakfast. I recommend it. Do not judge a book by its outside cover. The rooms are really nice.
Sandra, 1-night trip

Dirty

Extremely dirty, old food in the kitchen and microwave. Floor was disgusting and made our feet black. Flies everywhere.
William, 1-night trip

Nancy, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Check-in was different then I remember. This time I had to make a phone call to get someone to come and check me in. We ran out of toilet paper 1st day and was told their truck never showed up. So my husband and I just when to the store and picked some up. Very quiet area

Room we booked was listed with kitchenette...there were no dishes pots or pans and two of the burners were not hooked up. There was not even a toaster. Very disappointing and expensive...We had taken our own food and had no way to prepare it.
Julie, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

It was an okay place to stay. It worked for our purpose. However we had to walk across a dark room to turn the lights on as the switch by the door didn’t work. The pillows on the bed were not comfortable and there were no blankets on the bed and it was a cold night. The next morning the manager brought us blankets when I asked for some. She was surprised there weren’t any in the room.
EILEEN, 3-night trip

Stay elsewhere.

Kind and helpful concierge unfortunately does not outweigh the mediocrity of the property. Dont be tempted by the proximity to the fairgrounds. There are other properties at similar price points. Our room smelled of must, there was no shower curtain, rust was in abundance, and the mattress sagged splendidly. Everywhere are little notes warning you not to plug in too many things or flip channels incorrectly, otherwise the whole house of cards will tumble.
Cassandra, 1-night trip

The toilet was broken. The end table was broken leg could not use. The floor was dirty never cleaned anytime of our stay. The pool was nasty so much bug and the chairs were broken at pool and gate was broken to pool some much weeds and vines grew over the lights around pool. No hair dryer and coffee pot was broke. It was very quiet there peaceful but needs more TLC and updated get rid of old broken stuff
Tammy, 2-night trip

No one was in office when we got there to check in even though we arrived 2 hours before they closed! Had a number on door to call and I called it 3 times and no one answered so I called the emergency number they had and no one answered it either! Thank god I read some of the reviews and seen that this happened to another guest and they found the room keys in a drop box at the office door because no one even called me back to help us!
