TERRIBLE HOTEL
There was so much rennovation going on you couldn’t even hear because it was so loud. They were jack hammering all day. The carpets were stained throughout the whole 2nd floor. Trash sat in the hallway by the elevators for 2 days. Our rooms screens were broken out. I was so scared to leave our hotel because there was a shooting near by that 9 people were shot and 4 killed. This was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at and nothing close by for food options. I would never pay $150 to stay there if you paid me. Oh and you still have to pay to eat breakfast- JOKE.

Decent location, good parking
Decent location, close to the plaza and to downtown KC. The bar was alright for a hotel bar. The rooms were clean and had plenty of space for activities. I did like the parking, there was plenty of space for parking and it was free.

Not a Hilton Honor Member? You are low priority.
When we arrived they told us our room was overbooked. After some talk and typing on the computer, they did have a room that was either being worked on or just finished (toilet repair). After 20min of waiting we had a room key. The next day when we arrived back around 8:45pm we found that the toilet had overflowed. We spoke with the front desk, waited, called the front desk...finally someone came up, some 25min later. After fixing the issue they said someone would be back to mop up the water. That took several calls and trips to the front desk. After an hour it was taken care of. The front desk staff said that if I had booked directly through Hilton as an Honor member I would have been taken care of. Implying that they treated honor members with a different level of service than non-members. That's fine if it is free wifi, better parking, a bottle of water or better rates but when it comes to maintenance issues that is not how you treat any customer. I am an Honor member, I received a better deal on miles by booking through Hotels.Com which is why I went that route, surely they would treat everyone the same if there were issues with a room such as a broken toilet. I was appalled that they would even tell me that my service would have been better or tended to sooner.

Nice hotel, just kinda out of the way. Not close to food or shopping but it was still a nice hotel. Clean and staff was very nice.
