Overall, I was quite happy with my stay. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout. The food in the hotel restaurant was okay — nothing particularly special, but perfectly fine. The location, however, is excellent. There are lots of great restaurants in the surrounding area, which I can highly recommend. It also feels much less touristy than other parts of Barcelona. Public transport connections are very convenient as well. The biggest downside for me was definitely the noise. My room was on the first floor, and it was extremely easy to hear everything — noise from outside, the cleaning staff in the morning, toilets flushing, showers in neighbouring rooms, and occasionally some rather loud late-night activity from people outside. I found this quite disruptive, especially when trying to sleep or sleep a little longer in the morning. My friends were staying on the seventh floor and didn’t find the noise nearly as noticeable, so it may simply be more of an issue on the lower floors. Despite this, I would definitely give the hotel another try because there were many things I liked about it. Next time, however, I would absolutely request a room on one of the higher floors.

From the moment my wife entered the hotel Eduardo was helpful with luggage and my wife's mobility issue. A rented scooter which had earlier been delivered to hotel from 3rd party was made available. Shiana at the desk was very helpful in getting a young trainee to help with luggage to our room on 8th floor. During our stay Sun our bar tender was helpful with info about BCN and getting us food and drinks. Very hospitable, helpful and constantly checking on us and his guests at the bar. I was impressed with his servants heart. Sun genuinely wants to please his customers. I found throughout our stay the entire staff to be courteous, respectful and eager to be of service. The leadership team deserves credit for creating a culture of hospitality usually only found in high-end hotels. The 4 Points Diagonal in Barcelona is high-end in my book. Thank you so much!
