Well located, in the heart of downtown. Very busy street, but I could not hear it from the 7th floor. Walking distance to the train station, and to Museum Island. Room was confortable but a little small. No tub in the bathroom, only a shower. The following week, I stayed in another NH hotel in Dresden, where the room was larger and less expensive. Hotels tend to be more expensive in big cities. My room in Berlin would cost at least 1000 euros per night if it was in Paris. Maybe more. The breakfast was excellent.

Warning: do not accept a room facing the railway. Despite the alleged triple glazing, you will not sleep. The only respite from the constant train rattle is between 1.30 a m. and 4am. There's no way they should be selling these rooms without a major discount and a warning. Plus the shower head was broken - literally fell off the hose.After barely sleeping, we requested and got a move to an inner courtyard room - much better but the only compensation offered - when pressed - was a drink at the bar. Eventually a THIRD staff member agreed to comp the breakfast. So much for hotels.com platinum status.Pluses -location great for exploring Mitte; it's clean; breakfast was very good but the bar in the lobby is soulless so this is like a workaday conference hotel and just very uninspiring in design.
