Fantasic hotel for visting Legoland and Lego House. Both these locations within walking distance which is great. The staff are fantastic and especially Jan on front of house who made us feel so welcome and helped our daughter with her scrapbook! Highly reccomend this hotel for families and great breakfast! Food was really good and was staff helpful. Location of the hotel is within walking distance of all main attractions. Only minor downside is the lack of A/C in rooms but windows can be opened on two sides of the room so that helps.

This property through the photos makes it seem much nicer than it is, the property is outdated and a motel feel more than a nice hotel. The room had an incredibly strong smell, we ended up just driving back to Copenhagen rather than staying in Billund for the night. They did not honor the VIP perks we were supposed to get. Parking was easy, the room was spacious, and the TV lets you login to your own streaming service which was nice. It’s an average motel.

It was fine but I thought a little pricey for what you got. The bed was comfortable. Needs a but of modernisation. Breakfast had an ok selection but you had to get your own cutlery and napkins from the breakfast area which is a bit of a juggle with hungry kids. Few things had run out like spray for waffle maker and maple syrup. Few hairs in bathroom and dust under the sofa bed.

Familytrip to Legoland

No air conditioning and it was 20-27 degrees outside and too hot inside. Only one big chair which was limiting when we where a family of four. Lacking shelf/furniture in the bathroom for toiletbags. It feels like the room we got for four people would be more suitable for two people. Breakfast was very good. Walking distance to Legoland is about 15 minutes.

Hotel Svanen delivers exactly what many business travelers actually need: easy access, uncomplicated logistics, friendly staff and rooms large enough to not feel like you’re sleeping inside an airline carry-on. Check-in was mostly smooth, although the Ring doorbell system apparently decided to unionize the moment I arrived. Fortunately the support number is posted directly beside the entrance and the night staff solved the issue quickly and professionally. The room itself was spacious, clean and refreshingly functional. Massive Philips TV, decent workspace, simple Scandinavian styling and enough room to unpack without performing tactical luggage Tetris on the floor. Bathroom was straightforward and clean as well. The mattress in Room 61 was extremely soft though. Depending on your preferences, this is either “comfort” or “an orthopedic experiment.” Walls are also a bit thin. At one point I became involuntarily familiar with another guest’s snoring schedule several doors away. Breakfast was good and entirely sufficient for a work trip. Not a luxury brunch cathedral with dry ice and chia seeds arranged by architects, but proper food, good coffee and efficient service. Smokers are reasonably accommodated with several outdoor smoking areas, which is increasingly rare in Europe. In proper Danish weather conditions however, these areas become less “smoking lounge” and more “North Sea survival simulation.” Biggest plus overall: the staff. Reception and ni

Great breakfast. Uncomfortable room.

The reception and dining area are excellent. The buffet breakfast was superb. They have something for everyone. They worked hard to keep it well stocked. The dinner menu looked good too. It was the room that was the issue. Small, not very clean (e.g. stains on cushions, dust around the skirting), uncomfortable beds, poor ventilation - so very hot at night, no safe and door faced onto the outdoors with a simple lock, very basic shower room. The sofa bed for my son wasn’t made when we arrived at 7pm at night. They said hotel.com (Expedia) don’t tell them what we book (please remedy). I had to ask for the extra bedding and made it myself. Plus had to pay a premium on my room as we are outside the EU. I paid on a debit card but it was treated like a credit card. So be prepared for that one. It is very convenient for Legoland and Lalandia.
