A well run comfortable, clean and peaceful but central hotel with car parking on the property. Reception staff were first class. In general premises were very good. Minor downsides were: decaffeinated coffee only available from breakfast staff, not at coffee machine in foyer; breakfast choice was limited and not everything was available at all times; the third step up from first to second floor had an insecure stair rod. There was a restaurant attached but was not open during our visit as it was outwith the summer/ autumn opening period apparently.

Nice hotel located within the rat run of the towns side streets. Once there, there was private parking at a cost 10e per space (2 motorcycles 5e each). Large room which was clean and tidy, it is a short walk from the town main square (7 minutes). Breakfast was a let down, the cold items were great, nice and fresh, the hot items on the day we stayed, was cold as the food holders had broken, when reported, we were told there was nothing they could do until the engineer had come out. Also being an old style building with wooden flooring, this made a noise as people moved around but we would stay here again as it fits with the motorcycle touring program.

October 26th '26. For a 4 star, not too good. Car park available but extra charge on top of room rate. Local taxes unfortunately are ALWAYS hidden until you get there. Restaurant not open on Monday. Recommended restaurant was a disaster. ( ''French House''). Hotel is tired and shabby in some areas. Bath unsafe, no anti slip mat in room and unsupported properly, so it bows when you stand in it. Constant noise as flowing hot radiator pipes, even when radiator off. Lastly , thought the French new that champagne should NEVER be served at room temperature. Breakfast not as good as some 3 star hotels we stayed in. Unfortunately even France is going to cheap bread and synthetic automatic 'coffee' and juice dispensers. Who eats cake for breakfast?! Beds, clean and comfortable. (look new). Small tight access in double room with a needless armchair cluttering it further. Only one staff member on, covering the bar, reception etc. on Monday evening.

Lovely staff and a beautiful building. Very clean, but poorly maintained. Carpets are threadbare. The room was tatty. TV didn’t work properly. No air-con, not a game changer. The bar has zero atmosphere, no music, low stock, and the lights are as bright as an airport runway. Overall, a neglected hotel. There are better options for the same price. I must reiterate, staff were lovely.

The hotel is old and due for a renovation. The carpets are dirty/worn out. A/C units in the bedrooms would be welcome in the hot summer months. Only one product (shampoo/body wash combo) was offered in the bathroom. Conditioner & body lotion is always appreciated. Breakfast was a good buffet. The onsite restaurant was closed but there are plenty of good choices a short walk away on the Place Des Heroes.
