The whole vibe of the place was a great break from the usual bland hotel aesthetic. The lounge and social areas were nice. The gym was especially well-equipped and spacious! One of the nicer in-hotel gyms I've used.
Staff were friendly. It was nice that they provided an air mattress for my son, but it started to deflate and was uncomfortable (even by 16 YO standards). If you're going to offer that service, I'd recommend a simple cot as opposed to an inflatable. Another family also used an inflatable and it also started to deflate.
The rooms are larger then a standard hotel; lots of additional floor space. However, people travel with "stuff" and while staying in a room, that "stuff" has to be placed somewhere. Specifically, watches, wallets, cards, cables, purses, etc. There were two small side tables and a small cabinet for the mini-fridge. I get that the hotel is going for a minimalist feel, but having a larger dresser-sized surface for all that "stuff" would be great. I don't need drawers, just more surface space for items.
Overall, I'd definitely reserve another stay at this chain.
