The hotel: Spectacular. So much attention to artistic and architectural detail. Surprised at every turn. Great location directly across the street from a river makes it easy to find your way home- find the river, find your hotel. The Room: again great artistic detail and furnishings. Bathroom is really nice - the flowered tile mural even matches the dishes. Best of all, when you come in travel-weary, pull off your shoes and take that first step onto the heated bathroom floor, well, OMG! Large timber frame bed, endless lighting and a really nice small deck. Room is nice for sure.
Problems: Everyplace has a few. Almost rated a 4 star for communication. They have hours for reception being open but never saw any employee in the place the whole time, save for I passed a housekeeper on the staircase once. I had questions about things to do and see and transportation to get there (no car). No one to answer those things and too much detail to text or call.
Lastly, I was never able to get any kind of picture on the large TV. Wish someone could have helped me with that. And, please put a roll of paper towels by the microwave.
Overall, 5 stars for beauty but nearly 4.
