Good location , although when you pull up it doesn’t look like there would be a hotel there. AC wasn’t fantastic. Bed was comfortable , shower set up wasn’t ideal. Overall decent deal.

The building needs better signing. We were unable to locate easily at night. Also, the front of the building should have some lighting at night for when guests return late at night. It feels like you’re walking down a dark alley to get to it.

My family trusted me with the hotel selection on our recent trip to Europe, and everything went well, until we ended up in this place. Now I face the possibility of being disinherited. I don't have tattoos, not because I don't want a tattoo, but because a tattoo would've assured my disinheritance. I've been careful about this. But you had to mess this up for me... It's not just the particularly unfriendly staff in a city where even unfriendly people are friendly... It's not just the extremely bad price/quality ratio... It's not just the expensive breakfast, which happened to be one of the worst we ever had... But what definitely played a role in my disinheritance was the shower. Even Simone Biles would risk her life taking a shower in those tiny bathtubs with a neo-european movable glass door. I don't pray, but God knows I begged him to get me through my daily shower each time I stepped on that thing. Aside from that... you'll love the complimentary apples on the lobby! Too bad they're only available at night.

Good and bad

Good and bad. Nice hotel, located very close to many of Madrid nice locations and must see’s. But 2 out of 4 nights were affected by loud noise from many people in the street. We chose this hotel as it is located some streets away from Via Grande and heavy traffic, but what we wasn’t aware about was that the hotel is neighbor to a nightclub with noise of people from midnight to the early morning. So our best advise if this hotel is chosen, then insist to have a room away from the street. In our post-dialogue with the management of the hotel, we haven’t been able to agree on a descent and fair compensation - We simply didn’t sleep the 2 nights with noise. We could have reacted after first night, But in our naive believe we thought it was caused by it was the night before Oct. 12, Spain’s National Holiday. But no, another night (our last night) then there was party in the street again :( We have been offered a discount on future stay, and we claim and expected a real refund as we probably not return to Madrid in near future. One argument why not a refund is possible is that we have booked via hotels.com All in all, good hotel with bad experiences: Noise and a disappointing handling from the hotel afterwards.

We can only recommend this hotel for its location - beyond that the bedrooms are in great need of refurbishment with triple glazing a must. We were kept awake over two nights having been allocated a room on the first floor despite a request for a high floor. Not much traffic use the street but there is a nearby bar with many locals talking and laughing very loudly well into the wee small hours. We had booked a twin room - on arrival I was told there was one 'very big' bed! Once in the room the sofa had been made up as the second bed which was fine but shouldn't reception have known this? The bathroom was extremely dated, decor poor, amenities non existent. Bottled water only provided the first night which was a must for the kettle as the water from the sink came out brown! On departure we were told all was fine with the bill - they didn't ask if we had had a pleasant stay or if we needed a taxi to the airport. It certainly didn't spoil our trip to Madrid but it was a shame as we booked this brand as we had previously stayed at their Palace Hotel in Cordoba where we had a very different experience.

Hotel bem localizado no centro de Madrid, entre os metros Gran Via e Sol, silencioso, confortável e atendentes muitos simpáticos. A cama extra era um sofá-cama um pouco mole (poderia ser um pouco mais firme para mais conforto) e não tem persiana na janela, apenas um cortina com blackout não vedando totalmente a luz (ponto ruim).

Das Hotel hat eine sehr zentrale und ruhige Lage, in einer Seitenstraße, nur wenige Gehminuten zur Gran Via und Puerta del Sol. Auch die anderen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut zur Fuß erreichbar. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet.
