This hotel was very good, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent for breakfast and in the Italian restaurant! Would certainly return. The only thing I would say is that it could do with a refresh , ie. Paint and carpets !!! But all in all a very nice hotel !

Amazing hotel with great history. Absolutely helpful staff. Great kitchen. Defenetly would stay another time. Close tu University of Dublin. A little far from downtown but buses go often enough. Room bathroom might need some fixes, room itself no issues whatsoever. People defenetly made it a great experience. Even taxi drivers are special.. Thank you folks.

Staying at St. Helens was like staying in a traditional mansion! We fell in love with the grounds when driving in, with a beautiful fountain and rose garden in front. In the back there are a gorgeous lawns, and gardens, a perfect setting for weddings or other special occasion. The restaurants are both excellent. There are a lot of nice touches everywhere, like blankets on the back of some of the chairs at the outdoor dining area to keep warm. Overall we were really impressed and hope to return again.

So the room was fantastic, the location just outside Dublin was ideal and the hotel was amazing even for the one night and not being able to really get round it all. The only issue was the Aircon or room cooling was terrible, the sensor was saying it was at 15 but it was in the , low 20s. I suspect the system has been installed in a way to hide it, but the sensor is too close to he contained unit.
