The hotel was absolutely lovely and fully lives up to the pictures. Both the pool and the nearby beach are great - Snorkelling towards Propriano in the morning, before the swells come in, is awesome - Though you have to be a fairly good swimmer. But for us it was the amazing staff that made the stay something special. We travelled with small kids and everyone went out of their way to make every one of us feel welcome. We very much hope we get the opportunity to stay at this great place again.

Not worth it - and traffic noise

Decent hotel, but not a worthy member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. The room was ok, as was the service. However, it is located a few meters from the main road from Bonifacio to Ajaccio, and you can hear the traffic noise even with the balcony door closed. They ran out of several items at the overpriced breakfast (EUR 30/person) before closing. Housekeeping was ok, but several small mistakes that you wouldn't expect from a 5* hotel. Reception staff was friendly. Nice, but small pool. Charged EUR 10 for a beach towel plus umbrella. Fantastic beaches within 30 mins drive. Beautiful views from the terrace. Dinner was average, but expensive relative to what you could get anywhere else. In sum: Would be good as a 4* hotel (if priced accordingly), but not worth the price and not the standard of a real 5* hotel

Ok stay but a few improvements needed

Generally fine stay, hotel is clean, has a good view from the rooms and has a pool and jacuzzi. The breakfast was tasty and they had lots of different items including freshly squeezed orange juice and freshly made omelettes. They had l’occutaine products in the bathroom which smelt amazing. However, there are some points worth highlighting, firstly, although you are paying a premium price for this hotel they charge you 15€ per night to self-park your car in the car park. This cost is hidden away and not mentioned until you leave - so park your car around the corner to avoid unexpected cost. The bar is also extortionately priced e.g €12.50 for small glass of house wine. Service at breakfast was slow and a bit confusing, I think management over stretched the staff who were very polite but we had to ask several times before we got our order. Finally, the same music seemed to be played on loop which became a bit irritating and we only stayed by the pool for breakfast.

Nice room/pool but poor WiFi & restaurant food

Nice rooms with lovely views, although it is on a busy main road which is a shame. The pool area is lovely. The WiFi was poor and non existent most of the time. The staff tried to sort it out but it still kept turning off - so Not good for business people trying to keep in touch. And not what you expect from a luxury hotel. Ate in the restaurant once which was a tale of two halves- my husbands fish was lovely but my lamb was very poor, undercooked with lots of raw fat. I don’t think the chef knew how to cook lamb. And we realised the next day they forgot to serve us our side dish. I complained to management who was supposed to call me as we were leaving the following day. It’s nearly a month later and I haven’t heard anything. Such a disappointment for a hotel which is part of the SLH chain.

we expected more of a five star hotel

Pros: - Nice breakfast (but overpriced) - Sea view - Room decoration Cons: - Wifi connection dropped every second minute randomly, reconnection sometimes possible, sometimes not. We asked the staff on three occasions to fix it (and showed them on our device that we don't make it up because they claimed it worked). When we left they claimed that an IT guy fixed it but they never asked us before whether it worked for us. The least we would expect in a FIVE star hotel. - we had to pay about 100 USD for roaming fees instead (as we had to work). We were not offered a discount or anything. - Breakfast EUR 30 per person, some cutlery not clean - Shower head broken (but fixed on the next they when we told it to the staff) - Gym oldish, one thread mill not working. Spider webs in corners - Hotel is located above a busy street (separating hotel from beach). In our room with sea view, we couldn't leave the windows open and balcony was just for decoration but not really for use The above critics sounds harsh, but we expected definitely more of an expensive five star hotel.

L’accueil de l’hôtel est impeccable, et le personnel a répondu à toutes nos demandes. Mention spéciale pour la masseuse egalement. Nous reviendrons dès que possible !

Très belle endroit, Personnelle charmant, attentionné, a l'écoute. Le restaurant a une vue magnifique, le petit déjeuner est copieux et de qualité. La table est d'un excellent niveau, le tarif y est correcte. Les chambres sont confortables et agréables.

Geen restaurant .De kok was weg ???. Drukke weg juist voor het hotel .moeilijke inrit . Moeilijk te bereiken minuscuul strand aan de andere kant van deze drukke weg .,zeer onaangename geuren ( uitmonding van riool ? ) Piep kleine badkamer ,als er iemand in kwam moest de andere eruit . afgrijselijke douche ,zeer moeilijke deur ,water niet af te stellen ,enz.. Wij moesten bedelen voor shampoo ,oorkuisertjes ,enz.. Geen lift ,trappen ,trappen en nog eens trappen Geen 5 sterren ,amper 3,5 .

Parfait

Un séjour offert par ma meilleure amie à l’occasion de mes trente ans qui restera gravé ! Le personnel est adorable et compétent, l’endroit est sublime. La vue depuis le restaurant est à couper le souffle, le chef cuisinier est très qualifié et propose une carte simple mais efficace à base de produits frais. Les cocktails sont excellents. J’ai même prolongé mon séjour ! Un sans faute, continuez ainsi !

Lovely staff , garden and exceptional pool area with pool properly heated. very pretty views overlooking the bay from our room, pool and bar area. Clean room and comfy superking bed. Lovely linen and feather pillows. My usual gripe about not having a dressing table with chair ,mirror , power point and good lighting in one place but all available in the room in different locations. If you leave the patio doors open the traffic noise is quite loud but quiet when closed. It has a small and pretty beach with transfers on request although it’s an easy walk downhill. I would definitely recommend this hotel as somewhere to relax. It’s close to the town which has a lovely marina good restaurants and little shops.

Délicieuse semaine de repos et de soleil avec une utilisation optimale de la plage privée. Hôtel accueillant mais bruyant car circulation rou

La route principale Ajaccio bonifaccio passe juste en bas de l hôtel et le sépare de la plage. Cette information n est pas donnée lorsqu on réserve. Les chambres sont mal insonorisees et la terrasse vue mer et route est non utilisable du fait du bruit. Sinon personnel accueillant mais qualité de service loin du 5étoiles déclaré sur site internet mais non retrouvé sur panneau de l hôtel Cher et bruyant
