Lovely hotel overlooking the famous baths so a great location. Betty's tea tea room a 5 minute walk up the hill,turkish baths a couple of doors down. The winter gardens are now a weatherspoons -not everyone's favourite but worth a look to see the decor. Staff were super friendly like almost everyone in Yorkshire. Room was spotless and a comfy bed.

I absolutely adored this place. The effort that the housekeeping staff have gone to to make this place look wonderful is incredible. The atmosphere in the restaurant was wonderful and the bar too. The only thing I really missed was a little bowl of olives to go with my gorgeous glass of Sauvignon Blanc. It is a little bit dated in but a stunning building and beautiful bar. The little touches in the bedroom more than make up for the fact that there’s a few signs of a dated property. For instance, Ringtons coffee and biscuits and an amazing shower.

My husband and myself had a comfort double which was 'cosy' but clean and comfortable - after all we were only going to sleep in it anyway! I was slightly disappointed to note that there was no bottled water in the room on either of the nights we were there, whereas my son and his family were in a family room further down the corridor and had complimentary bottled Harrogate water - not sure if this was because his room was dearer than ours? The location was great and we will likely stay here again- we know Harrogate well - our daughter lives there - only visit if you don't mind hills - everything is either up a hill or down a hill!! We didn't use the restaurant as we were there to attend a function elsewhere but the food looked lovely We did use the bar and considering the prices in other licenced houses in Harrogate we found the drinks to be very reasonably priced - and the bar staff were very helpful and attentive

Our hotel was lovely. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The only issue we had was the hotel room was like a suna, no air conditioner, no fans. I appreciate hate the hotel is listed, but there should have been an alternative for guests.

This was a decent stay. Staff with whom I crossed paths were all excellent, and it was noticeable. I employ 60 people so always happy to give credit where due. Efficient restaurant and good reasonably priced food. I parked off site, had I needed to be on site it didn't make it clear whether that was chargeable. I booked it through laterooms and there it implied it was included, which would have niggled if applicable. I would very happily stay here again.

We enjoyed our visit and the staff were friendly and helpful but the rooms could have been cleaner. The building is old and it shows. Lots of toothpaste splatter on the wall next to sink, dirty paint, worn out carpet and you can hear noise from hallway. We had a great time and location was perfect.
