We stayed just one night prior to getting the ferry back to England. We had our dogs with us and the hotel catered very well for them. We didn't have breakfast or dinner in the hotel, but there were plenty of choices for both within a short walk of the hotel.

A very pleasant stay!

We had a lovely stay at this hotel and was even lucky enough to get a balcony room. The rooms are spacious, clean and the beds are comfortable - no complaints. Both the reception- and cleaning staff was very kind and helpful. Because of this, the good location and the fact that they are dog friendly, we would absolutely stay here again if we return to Santander.

This is a nice nh hotel in Santander . The parking was convenient . It’s near a very good restaurant called “El Bonito “ which was recommended by our receptionist. The breakfast buffet was average and was not so good compared tot the other nh hotels though the service here is better . Since this is an nh collection and not an nh cuidad .. the amenities are not very good. I didn’t see a gym in the hotel . The lobby was nice but sparse . But what stands out is the service . I had a small statue of Our Lady of the Pilar about 2 inches in size and was broken . The handyman of the hotel fixed it . I forgot to give him a tip . The reception was also good as the receptionist tipped us the best restaurant in the neighborhood ( their albondigas made out of tuna is the best ) . Though this is not the best among the nh hotels that we stayed at, I still highly recommend this hotel due to its location and proximity to the city center , the Centro Botin ( Santander’s version of the Guggenheim) and its proximity to the beaches .

I had a very disappointing experience. I specifically booked and paid an additional €25 for an upgraded room, but upon arrival, I was given a standard room with separate beds—the most basic option listed on Expedia. This was already frustrating, as it did not match what I had paid for. The situation became worse with the air conditioning, which was not functioning properly. Instead of cooling the room, it was mostly blowing hot air, making the environment very uncomfortable. As a result, I had no choice but to open the window. The hotel is located in a very central area(this is why I choose it), with a bar and restaurant nearby. Since it was a Friday night, the noise levels were extremely high, and I was unable to rest at all. Additionally, the overall maintenance condition of the hotel is far below the NH standard I am accustomed to, which made the experience even more disappointing. I was only stopping over while traveling by car, hoping for a good night’s rest, but this turned into a complete nightmare. Overall, this experience fell far below expectations and was very disappointing.

Keycard entry. Two sliding door cupboard hanging space and shelves, electronic safe (free). Desk and chair, lamp, tea & coffee making facilities with kettle, bottle opener. One complimentary bottle of water. Fridge (contents chargeable). Wall-mounted Philips TV. Round table with an upholstered chair, lamp. Beds with bedside tables. Telephone. Long wall mirror. Suitcase stand. Multiple power sockets with USB charger ports. Effective air-con. Double-glazed window with view of trees, apartment blocks and street below. Bathroom with bath-shower, toilet, bidet, basin, NH branded toiletries, large mirror, hairdryer, heated towel rack. -When logged onto hotel WiFi you have access to the hotel’s website which includes a useful Santander city guide, minibar prices, and the ability to request amenities for the room. -Car park. Cons: -Room - minibar expensive, eg Coca Cola €4. (Remember: only ONE bottle of water is complementary). -Breakfast - expensive, from €16.90pp. We brought spoons & bowls with us and purchased food & drink from the ‘Unide supermercado’ convenience store (also sells alcohol) across the road from the hotel. -Room - occasional dog barking from an adjacent room.

Dogs not really welcome in NH Hotels

Really no good an over priced hotel in poor condition. Expensive and was supposed be a dog friendly hotel. Well my advice is find somewhere else. You must sign a form saying dogs can not be left unaccompanied. Dinner plans out the window. Place in need of refurbishing and with parking, breakfast and cost for dogs came for 1 night to 240EUR. At best this is a 2 star hotel old bathrooms old lifts and tight parking. My advice is avoid.

the place was nice, but with very limited parking that was failed to be disclosed on the Hotel.com website. on our arrival, on a rainy night no parking was available . having to park 5 blocks away and having to climb a steep him. had I know the limitations, I would have booked on another hotel. the rest of the nights I was able to park in the hotel parking
