Lived it. A very old hotel that has everything in working order. We enjoyed everything about it. Great breakfast. Used elevator for moving luggage to 2nd floor. A nice safe place near everything we wanted to do in Athens. It is a one of a kind hotel from the past.

Cecil Hotel is good value for money, no frills. It is situated at 5 minutes walk from Monastiraki Square and metro station. It is on the busy, bustling Athinas Street, which is fascinating and authentic. The hotel is quiet, spotlessly clean and secure. The area is safe. I have stayed in Cecil Hotel several times.
