We had a great experience at Fosshotel Raudara, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff were consistently amazing (very helpful and very friendly), the location is great (near the beginning of the major shopping street), the place is clean and well maintained, and the food at the breakfast was exceptional with a very wide selection. If you are in Reykjavik and want a proper hotel that doesn't break the bank (by Iceland standards), this is the place!

Hotel in a good area, easy to get around by walking, close to bus stop as well. Good breakfast, and had early tour, was able to get a to go breakfast. Very helpful staff. Had a little bar as well for evening cocktail or beer.

This hotel is in a good location in Reykjavik- outside of the city center in a neighborhood, but close enough to walk into the city. The staff was nice and accommodating, and the breakfast (for a fee) was delicious awith a good variety of food. Unfortunately, the hotel is bery dated and looks a little run down. I thought the hallways smelled a little. I understand that the hotel will close for a year starting in November for a full renovation. It is definitely needed.

First and foremost the staff was wonderful. They were helpful, knowledge and kind. The location is terrific. Walking distance to most sites and plenty of Restaurants and grocery near by. The complaints I have is the cost of the room and lack of amenities. The room is tiny and there is no refrigerator.

The bathroom was on the smaller side - no shelf space which made getting ready a bit tricky.
