I travel to Banff about 2-3 times a year for the last 5 years for business. Elk + Avenue has been my favourite stay by far. From location to amenities, they have been the best value for the cost. The parking is easily accessible, the staff have gone above and beyond, and the sauna/hot tub is well maintained. My only suggestion is to leave the water container in the lobby full all evening for access to refill water bottles. I don’t think I will be staying elsewhere in the future - this is the place to be!

Excellent location, right on the main street in Banff. Local tour companies make pick-ups here for Lake Millewanka, Sundog tours to the Coloumbia Icefield/Icefields parkway etc. The bus to the Banff Gondola stops close by too. I was able to leave my luggage (as I arrived early in the morning) and explore Banff. There are restaurants/cafes on site but I didn't use these. Rooms themselves were a bit dated and some simply re-arranging could improve them. Communal areas were much nicer. All staff were very helpful and one even gave me some local recommendations of what to do in Banff.

The location is great, the room was very nice, we had breakfast twice in the restaurant and that was nice. I think we must have visited at peak time because the crowds were huge and sometimes the staff was stretched thin. I’d recommend staying here, it’s central to Banff so getting around is easy.

We enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect and great for walking. The room was clean and spacious. We had an Expedition so ended up having to pay for street parking since we couldn’t fit in the parking garage and the 4 oversize spots were taken. Would stay here again when in Banff.
