If you are looking for a budget friendly place to rest your head without frills this is your place. It smells of musk and burnt incense, front desk staff seemed friendly. Breakfast consisted of waffle, bread, bagel, or cereal. Pool area could use a cleaning .

The Clarion Pointe-Dillard Hotel has been the go-to hotel for my family when we visit the area. The hotel is near Black Rock Mountain State Park, at which we enjoy beautiful hikes when we visit. The town of Clayton is close by, in case you close need to do some grocery shopping or experience the conveniences of a larger town.

Stayed for 1 night. Room appeared clean, bed was clean and comfortable. Air conditioner worked well and the filter was clean. Bathroom was clean but there was some mold growing around the top of the shower walls that would have easily come off with just a little effort. The towels were the smallest and thinnest I have ever seen in a hotel. I stayed at another Choice hotel a couple weeks earlier and they had very large and thirsty bath towels! The outside and entrance area could use attention. Breakfast was “meh”, and there was no decaf coffee available. The cost was okay for a Friday night in this area. I might stay again if there is nothing better available close by, hopefully they will work on some of these issues.

The room was very clean but in need of repair in the bathroom. Toilet tissue holder not mounted to wall, peeling paint, molding between the door and wall was pulling away from the wall and there was a small hole there. Loved the mural of the mountains on the wall behind the beds. I wish it had been in the opposite … it was beautiful and I could not enjoy it to its fullest. This is a no smoking hotel. There were ash trays on trash cans right beside the access doors to the building. Smelly, Dirty. Unsightly. They should be moved several feet from the doors. Please! The coffee at the contenential breakfast was terrible. Undrinkable. Even smelled horrid. Breakfast bagels, cereals but no milk, Tang but not orange juice. Definitely not what we expected. The front desk person was personable and helpful. I liked that there was LVP flooring and not carpet in the rooms. It was one reason I chose this hotel. There was an annoying barking dog in the afternoon on Friday but it did not bother us overnight. We slept well, the beds were very comfortable. The pillows left a bit to be desired.
