Since it had been a long time since I had stayed in downtown Portland, I wanted to revisit. Historically, my business took me to Portland, and I stayed at another downtown hotel. While much smaller, the Paramount was extraordinarily clean, the staff helpful, the food in the restaurant excellent, and the bartender in the lounge was fantastic. Outside of the logistics of valet parking (basically minimal room in another car is also trying to park), the hotel was very quiet (my number 1 criterion), convenient, and reasonably priced. I would return.
