The location of the hotel was great as it was in central Ryde. There was a small car park that we were able to use which was useful. The rooms were clean but in need of maintenance work, new bathrooms, sinks, and re-painting. All the staff that we came into contact with were friendly and very helpful and I cannot fault them at all.

Terrible on every level.the staff were horrendous they had me in tesrs The room was unobtainable.my husband couldnt manage it.the stair flight was impossible. Other guests were complaining The hotel was so faded and sad Chairs with slashed seats. The hotel was in a fabulous location pity about the grouchy receptionist who threw the room keys at me

The location is very convenient, 10-15 mins to the ferry, 3 mins to the nearest bus stop. The staff is very helpful, I was able to leave my luggage after check out for a few hours. However the hotel is located in an old building and the amenities are quite dated. The windows are single glazed and I had difficulty opening and closing them.

Yelf's Hotel is right in the heart of Ryde, 1st impressions are the whole place needs a refit on the inside and painting and maintenance on the outside, freyed carpets on the landings, poor decor once inside the room, ripped nets, very dated carpet only one opening window out of 3 in the bedroom, very worn out bath, shower button on the taps not staying up, rotten away tables at the back in the courtyard sorry but this is not a 3 star hotel, only saving grace was all the staff we met were lovely

The hotel staff were lovely and helpful, I was able to leave my case at reception as I was off out for the day, and wouldn't be back till the evening. The hotel was lovely had a good relaxing feeling. My room was very clean and cosy. Bathroom was clean, however the hot water in the shower went cold after a short time. Not to bad a thing as the cold water woke me up and I was ready for the day (04.00). The bed was clean and comfy however, it felt like the bed was on a slight slop. I felt at times i was going to roll off 😄 (no I hadn't being drinking). Not really sure what the hatch / boarded up thing was all about. I did hit my head on it during the night 🙄 I was a lot better than the one I stayed in the night before. I would stay here again. In a double room next time. 😊

We did a 3 night break. The staff were very friendly great people. Lovely social sitting areas. Nice bar and coffee area. The bed room very spacious, beds were clean the bathroom was clean but no window and the vent didn’t work so it smelt damp. We kept the door shut and once we had our showers the smell was not so bad. The sitting area was great space furniture parts worn but nothing really to stop us going back. Location very convenient. Nice cafes restaurants local convenience stores. Would I go back there YES!

Good value budget hotel

Convenient location apart from being on a steep hill. However all the bus trips we made stopped at the top of the hill. Nicely decorated and comfortable bed. Ate evening meal on three occasions, which were all good quality and value, but menu limited. All in all, the stay was good value for a budget hotel
