The villa was great! it was everything we expected and more. The staff was respectful, kind, and accommodating our entire stay. I loved the privacy we had. It's great for couples and families. I definitely recommend!
Bali? It's a place that Americans like me had never heard of before... Not to mention traveling for almost one day to get there!
At first I was really hesitant to visit Bali, I didn't know what to expect from the place and from the people. How can I or how will they treat me? There were so many questions!
When I arrived at the Bali Airport, that's when my perception of the place change. I felt as if is was in a huge 5 Start hotel and not a typical boring airport.
A driver picked me and...
My stay at Kumpi Villas was wonderful and the staff was amazing! Breakfast everyday was great and the staff was always so nice and welcoming and cleaned the room daily and did “turn down” service to have your bed ready when you returned from being outside from a long day. The villa is very nice and it’s great that they offer shuttle service to drop you into the town, if needed. I would return to stay at Kumpi Villas as it is close to shopping, restaurants and the beach:-) 10 stars...
This was our first place we stayed in our trip to Bali, and it was an amazing welcome to the country. Our room was excellent, staff was friendly and helpful, and the resort is beautiful. It feels exotic and modern at the same time. The pool is awesome, and the beach access is perfect. Enjoyed this place very much!
I feel so lucky to have found this lovely guest house. Hana and her staff were so attentive, kind, thoughtful; they made me feel at home. The comfortable, spacious room was cleaned daily. Wi-Fi was excellent. I had a room near the pool, which was such a refreshing option after a hot day or in the morning to get started. The lush plants and spiritual temples, statues and carvings add tranquility and beauty that I enjoyed daily. There is a small kitchen on site, with filtered water to refill...
We toured Bali for the month of February 2015 and spent our first three days at New Pondok Sara. Fortunately they are located off busy Doublesix Street at the end of a quiet street. Private pool is the best after a hot humid walk around town. Staff was great and breakfast served in your room. However we were not impressed by location. And a busy town it is. Very busy...many many scooters and vehicles. Beach is maybe a 10 minute walk and not what you expect. Lots of plastic residue and grey...
Our stay at the Legian was remarkable. To be fair, I have stayed at multiple 5 star rated resorts in the US and Caribbean and our experience here blew the others away. We actually ended up extending our stay by another two nights because we didn't want to leave. If you are able, I absolutely recommend staying in one of the private villas. Our butler Sande was just incredible, able to help with restaurant recommendations, booking dinner, tours, really anything we needed at all. The private pool...
Wonderfully maintained hotel. Large property with many 4-unit Lanais. Nice pool and ocean front beach setting. The hotel hosts cultural dances nearly every evening and has local artists on site selling their work. The gift shop is very competitively priced with a classy selection of local items. Good restaurant with many Indonesian themed dinners. Overall it is the class and service one would expect of Oberoi.
