In all of my business and family travels, this was probably the most luxurious place I've stayed. The rooms were huge (I rented two), very well kept, the common areas were well-taken care of. Continental breakfast was plenty and dinner on-site was excellent. The views from the grounds were breathtaking.
As I was traveling with my elderly father who has some difficulty getting around, I was much more aware of accessibility issues than my normal trips. Everything seemed very accessible and accommodating.
My only complaint with this stay was upon check-in I was informed there was a $20.00 parking fee. This was in a traditional parking lot and there was no mention of any fee that I could find on the website. Was I walking into Island Park or something? What happened to disclosing all fees up front? I found out later that Marriott is doing that on many/all of their properties now. That said, that was really my only complaint with my stay, same for my dad.
I would absolutely stay here in the future and likely will when I bring my immediate family back to the area. Just be up front about your fees so there's not a shock at the desk: it was a relatively minimal fee for the trip and honesty up front or better yet worked into the reservation would have left me with zero resentment even for a minute.
