We had such a wonderful stay here. They were pet friendly and the staff were amazing. Hats off to the gentleman running breakfast, he gave such great service and was lovely! Also, the desserts here were incredible, highly recommend. The only downside is a double bed rather than a king. We will hopefully stay again at some point though!

This Inn is a little gem hidden away in the countryside. It is so authentic it seems frozen in time, except for the rooms that have a more modern country chic ambiance. The food was great and the staff absolutely fantastic. I wish we had booked a few more nights!

The Red Lion was a last minuet work booking, I was very pleasantly surprised. The pics on the booking site don't do the property any justice. Its a hidden gem. the locality for visiting different areas is great ant the village is very nice. I will return to the Red Lion with my partner for pleasure rather than a business trip. I stayed in room 4 which is a family room and it is very nice and very well equipped. The same young women that checked me in was also working all evening, served breakfast and also checked me out was very friendly and helpful. Many thanks to everyone at the Red Lion for making my flying stop enjoyable.

Check in for the inn is at the bar. It took us a while to realise this. Also because check-in is at the bar… you must arrive before pub close… around 9pm. Being a historic preserved site there is limited modern amenities they are allowed to perform…. however this is part of the charm as it authentically get like an old English travelers inn. there is WiFi at least. the staff and service at the pub was excellent. the food was also good. we had the Sunday roast. Full breakfast and other options is included and had good conversations with other guests.
