This was definitely a “you get what you pay for” stay. The hotel looks pretty rough from the parking lot, but we booked it because it was inexpensive, so our expectations weren’t especially high.
There were some definite positives. The staff was consistently kind and helpful, the beds were comfortable enough, and the location is very convenient—right off the highway with tons of restaurants and shopping nearby. Breakfast covered our needs, and I was actually pleasantly surprised that they offered different hot options each morning rather than the exact same thing every day.
The biggest negatives were maintenance and the pool. Our toilet was leaking from the bottom, so the bathroom floor was constantly wet. The indoor pool was also FREEZING and extremely cloudy, which made me uncomfortable enough to question whether the water/chemicals were being properly maintained.
Overall, it served its purpose as an inexpensive place to sleep in a convenient location, and the staff deserves credit for being lovely. But the property itself needs some attention. It worked for a budget stopover, but it wouldn’t be on our list for a future stay.
