Hotel Ivy was the perfect place to stay for my Boston vacation. The room was small but it was very comfortable and quiet. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I loved the coffee in the lobby. And it was close to so many great things... just about 2 blocks from the Public Gardens/Boston Common. The Bay Village area right in front of the hotel was so charming, and it was only a few blocks from the Orange line on the T. All the way around, I would recommend staying here!

It’s a perfect location, especially for first time visitors. Room was very clean. I booked the smallest room, which was a twin bed so it was SMALL. Didn’t expect it to be that small, but it worked out. The only downfall, no mini fridge and a little loud. Could hear every time someone would close a door in close proximity. But not a big deal. Would still recommend. Just pack ear plugs and you’re fine. :)

I really wanted to give this place a better review but it just really is run down. Location is great, staff were friendly and nice clean sheets and bathroom. However the hotel is really run down, noisy air con and corridors that meant little to no sleep. Tiny dark dingy room with not even the most basic amenities. This place needs some serious maintenance.

I just really liked this hotel for some reason. The room were laid out so smartly and I loved the aesthetics (the blues and wood tones). I couldn't believe I could actually open my windows, like regular windows and let in the city vibe and happy late Summer/early Fall air. Normally, I like having in-room coffee, but their latte/coffee machine in the lobby made one of the most delicious lattes I've had in a while. The bathroom was modern and impeccably clean. The room doors were heavy and really kept out any noise even though the rooms are tucked in pretty close to each other. The hotel is a short walk from the orange T line and super convenient to get around the city. I will definitely stay here again when in Boston.

The room I had was perfect size for myself. However, the water pressure in the shower was extremely low and the water was so hot. I found it was very noisy as it is next to the street. I could hear people talking and cars running on the streeting at night. It was in a good location though. 2 blocks to train station next to Tuff medical center.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was no dresser or anywhere else to put clothes except on the floor of the closet. Clothes could be kept in suitcases but there was no stand for a suitcase. There was a tiny desk. The bedroom lighting was poor, but the bathroom lighting was good. The closet door opened in a way that blocked all light from the closet. Everything in the closet was in deep shadow. The closet door had a broken hinge. The heating and a/c worked well and the coffee machine was good.
