Very friendly welcoming staff, good value for money. Close to the beach and tram stop across the road. Hotel needs some maintenance apart from that not bad with a decent breakfast.

Large family room for 5, easy to check in and out, helpful staff. Being refurbished on the outside but didn't cause any issues.

Nice room Clean and comfy bed

As a base it was fine. Clean bed and bathroom, suitable for just the one night stay. Very loud, walls are paper thin, so didn’t get to sleep until around 1am when it finally quietened down. Fire alarm went off around 2:30 resulting in another hours worth of noise so not a good night sleep overall. Could be better, could be worse.

Staff were brilliant, very helpful and very pleasant. The hotel is very tired, but it’s an old hotel but needs a lot of work doing to it. Communal areas were ok, but beyond that it wasn’t great. Needs some attention, but on the whole it was ok and great location

Very, very tired hotel. Reasonably clean though, and the staff at check were helpful. We didn’t have breakfast as we were up and out early, but did try a beer in the bar which was priced about right. It’s obvious that this was once quite a grand place but it’s just so tired now. For the price we paid though, we can have no arguments. Would I come back? Maybe, but it wouldn’t be the first place I’d look for

Very nice hotel. We would have preferred a double bed for 2 people but it was smaller. Otherwise, room very comfortable.

8/10 Very good

After reading other reviews we were dubious about staying but decided to give it a go and glad we did. Our room was clean and large with lots of storage, the TV was a good size. We would have been happy to stay longer and will definitely book again. Free parking was a bonus and staff were lovely. Thank you

New carpet and furniture in my room. Excellent breakfast. Only downside was the absence of a decent draft beer at the bar. Tetleys, please try harder...
