I had a lovely stay at Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai for 4 nights. The room was clean, and the bed was super comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. A special thank you to the hotel for upgrading me to a suite! Having a separate living area made the stay even more enjoyable. I also appreciate the complimentary beer, drinks and chocolates, such a thoughtful touch!
The buffet breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of choices to suit different tastes.
However, I would like to highlight 3 areas that need improvement.
Firstly, the cleanliness of the public washrooms near the reception needs more attention. They should be checked and maintained regularly throughout the day, especially during breakfast hours. Unfortunately, I encountered something unpleasant that was very off-putting, particularly when I had just finished breakfast.
Secondly, I was disappointed with the housekeeping standards and service attitude at the buffet restaurant. When the staff cleared the plates left by previous dinners, they overlooked the used tissue papers on the carpet under my table. When I pointed this out, the supervisor appeared reluctant to attend to it. I believe clearing the tables should include checking the surrounding floor area, and guests should not have to remind staff to maintain basic cleanliness.
