The service was good. At first our room's air conditioning was very loud so they quickly gave us another room, They were very responsive to our needs.

So first of all this motel had NO heating! When we first checked in we were handed a room key and a remote control for the television with the back missing and holding the batteries in place was packing tape. The continental breakfast was literally warm Sunny D in a container that was labled "Orange Juice" and white and wheat bread that had the available option to toast. I was afraid and made sure my door was securely locked. The showers we SO small and there was literally no room to move around. I HIGHLY advise NOT to stay at this hotel and pay the extra few dollars for a better motel.

The hotel is in bad shape. Dirty and old. The floor in the room was wet. In the breakfast room they have only 2 chairs! Poor breakfast. No hot tub as advertised on Expedia! No bath tub in the room, no microwave, no coffee. Disappointed.

There was absolutely no hot water for showering. This was a big problem as it was the middle of January when I started st this hotel. At night there was a lot of noise coming from people outside in the parking lot do it was difficult to get a good night's sleep.

The Econo Lodge Bakersfield,CA is economical, convenient, clean, and functional. It is easy to get to (just off of the freeway (99)). Yet it is only about 1.5 miles to the Convention Center on wide, easy to traverse, streets. Many business establishments are nearby, within several blocks. It is quite centrally located in Bakersfield, making it easy to navigate and quick to get to multiple destinations.
