We stayed at both Hotel Bardo and Milam in Tulum over 10 days, splitting our time between the two properties, and honestly, it was an incredible experience from start to finish.
Both hotels are part of the same group and are only about a 5-minute drive apart, making it really easy to enjoy what each had to offer. They share a similar aesthetic — beautifully designed, stylish, and very “Tulum” — while still feeling good value compared to how expensive the area has become.
The rooms in both hotels were exceptional. Genuinely some of the best we’ve stayed in anywhere in the world — spacious, unique, and thoughtfully designed. You can tell a lot of attention has gone into the details.
Service across both properties was excellent. The staff were warm, attentive, and clearly cared about making our stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible. The food was also a standout at both hotels — consistently high quality and something we looked forward to every day.
Location-wise, both hotels are well positioned near Tulum town centre, with easy access to the beach zone. We hired e-bikes, which we’d highly recommend — about a 15–20 minute ride to the beach, much better value than taxis and easy to get around and park.
That said, Hotel Milam was on another level entirely. A clear five-star experience. The service was impeccable, the food somehow even better than Bardo, and the overall atmosphere was incredibly serene and luxurious. The poolside bar and restaurant area created a really calm
