Great hotel in general. Lovely rooms, friendly staff, good amenities. Lowest service point I experienced was asking for a takeaway coffee from the baristas at breakfast and being sent to fetch my own cup at a different location. Why don't they have takeaway cups ready for guests on the move? Why don't they fetch the cup and bring it to my table when it's ready like they would if I ordered a coffee to go? Ongoing maintenance was a bit of a menace when working from my room during the day. Once that's done, I imagine it'll be better.

Great place with free shuttle to Sandton shopping mall but not safe to walk around. Staff great. Gym v small and sauna just a wooden clad room with a radiator (need 15+ min warning so they can turn it on!). Pool area nice but too cold for outdoor swimming in May and no heated pool. V convenient for our short transit as only 30min from ORT

I absolutely loved my stay at NH Johannesburg. From the moment we arrived to check out, the staff were incredibly kind, friendly and helpful. We loved the free shuttle to the mall and we had half a day there wandering about. We loved the pool and breakfast was a big highlight. We were there when they changed over their dinner menu and we sampled the new menu items and a welcome drink and chats with the chef. We felt very safe at all times. It was our first time visiting Africa and we will definitely return and stay here again.

Excellent hotel in Sandton, close to everything you need and with a shuttle. Staff were super friendly and helpful throughout my visit. Only downside - you are advised not to walk around after dark and even get an uber late at night on the dark streets felt a little sketchy. If I am in Johannesburg I would stay here again.

I had mixed feelings about my stay at this hotel. On the positive side, the room was very spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. I also appreciated the shuttle service to the shopping mall, which was convenient and added value to the overall experience. Unfortunately, I experienced a very unpleasant incident that significantly affected my perception of the hotel. One morning, while I was having breakfast, housekeeping entered my room. When I returned, I noticed that only the trash had been removed, while the towels left on the floor had not been replaced or even picked up. More concerning, my handbag had been left open, my wallet appeared to have been handled, and I discovered that US$50 was missing. I immediately reported the incident to the hotel management. The staff listened to my complaint professionally and assured me that the matter would be investigated and that I would receive a follow-up. However, despite this commitment, no one ever contacted me with any update or resolution. While the room and amenities met my expectations, the security issue and the lack of follow-up from management were extremely disappointing. The financial loss itself was upsetting, but the absence of any response after reporting such a serious matter was even more frustrating. Unfortunately, this experience makes it difficult for me to recommend the hotel.
