The location of this resort is stunning, just beautiful. The service is superb. The food is amazing. And the cottage itself was tastefully recreated. We enjoyed walking the tea trails - just expect to make an effort on the plantation hills. We also relaxed and enjoyed the hotel every afternoon. They will do anything to make your stay as perfect as possible. It was an ideal stay for us.

We had a very enjoyable stay, thanks to the beautiful location; excellent, friendly, personalised attention from all the staff; and delicious food at every meal - both the western food and Sri Lankan curry were superb. During our stay, we were blessed with wonderfully skilled staff and excellent facilities, allowing us to fully enjoy the rich natural beauty of the tea fields in the hill country, relax over exquisite cuisine, and experience the finest hospitality. We also found the tea tour extremely meaningful, as it gave us the opportunity to learn about the history of Ceylon tea. We are deeply grateful for the valuable experiences you provided us with. Lastly, they kindly arranged a seaplane transfer between the sister hotels at our request, and everything went very smoothly, making the journey extremely comfortable and convenient. This mode of transport can be highly recommended for guests who are short on time. Our stay was truly beyond words and became one of the best experiences of our lives.

We had a wonderful stay at the Norwood Bungalow. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was quite large and full of amenities. The meals were delicious. There were a variety of choices. The staff here were lovely and helpful. They made our stay welcoming. The tea trails around the bungalow offered amazing view of the tea estate. They were easy walks and worthwhile. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay in Sri Lanka, we recommend staying here.

The journey from the airport to the resort was long and extremely bumpy, which made it quite unpleasant. While the resort is located near the tea plantation, there wasn’t a meaningful walk-through to experience tea picking or interaction with the tea pickers. The resort itself was acceptable, though I experienced some unusual issues in my room on two occasions. On the first night of my check in, my luggage could not be unlocked until the next morning. There’s also another particular evening whereby each time I yawned, all the lights would unexpectedly switched off. It was strange and inconvenient. On a positive note, the dining options were relatively good and enjoyable. The serving staff were very hospitable and pleasant as well. Overall, the stay was average and did not fully live up to expectations.

an enjoyable and memorable experience

The bungalow which we stayed for our holiday is only six rooms. The butler and the staff provide excellent services which many luxury hotels can not do. Staying in this property, your butler has already arranged everything and you do not think about anything about your stay. What you need to do is to tell your butler what you want and he will serve you or give advice to you. Highly recommend to anyone who will visit the same place. The experience is worth your payment.

There are 5 bungalows operated by Tea Trails. I stayed in Castlereagh and Summerville. Both bungalows are very nice with very attentive staff. Food is superb. The road to Castlereagh is very bad and bumpy which made the whole experience not a pleasant one. However, the team at Castlereagh are warmer and ready to go extra miles to meet the customers' request. We ended up leaving by helicopter to avoid 6 hours of bumpy drive....
