The room itself was nice; however, my overall experience was unacceptable.
I checked in earlier than expected and then left to continue working. When I returned after work, I sat at the desk to complete paperwork on my computer. As I leaned back in the desk chair, I heard a loud pop and the chair collapsed. I fell backward onto my back and side while I was on the phone with my wife, and I struck my head on the edge of the bed, leaving a visible bruise.
After getting up, I inspected the chair and found it had been improperly assembled. One bolt was completely missing, and the remaining bolt appeared barely secured. This was clearly a maintenance failure and created a serious safety hazard.
I immediately went to the front desk on New Year’s Eve to speak with a manager, but none was available. I asked the clerk to leave a message for the manager to contact me. Instead of documenting the incident, she dismissed the situation and asked if I wanted water.
On New Year’s Day, I returned to the front desk and spoke with a different clerk. Again, there was no manager available. I requested that a message be written for the manager to call me. This clerk did document the issue and apologized.
On the morning of my checkout, around 8:00 a.m., I again went to the front desk and requested to speak with a manager. I was told the manager was not in, so I asked for yet another message to be left requesting a call back.
Despite multiple attempts and repeated requests, I have never been contacte
