Very nice Jugend style hotel

Very nice Jugend -style hotel not far from center. Friendly personnel and the hotel is well maintained. Room was nicely decorated and had even motorized bed. Great breakfast. We had three suitcases which were difficult to open in the small space so that they weren't in the way but the room size were mentioned and we just did not pay attention to it. I highly recommend this.

Great little hotel, have stayed previously but not since the takeover, but nothing to worry about it’s still a lovely little hotel, added bonus was breakfast was included in the price and then upon arrival coffee & cake at 3pm and evening meal buffet was also included - we didn’t sample the evening buffet due to having restaurant reservations, but a great little added bonus if you fancy keeping costs down, would definitely stay again.

Jugendstil building with modern rooms

The hotel has comfortable modern rooms in an old Jugendstil building and an excellent breakfast. Lobby is stunningly decorated, as is outside.

Unique hotel with great breakfast

We liked: quirky decor, relaxed ambiance, friendly staff, comfy beds. Breakfast was delicious, loads of veggie and lactose free options (also gluten free) and everything was well labelled. We were there on a weekend so breakfast going on until 12 was lovely, one day we went to löyly and then came back and had breakfast after, which was perfect. Free dinner was a surprise bonus, the food was great, though there was no specific veggie options, though between soup and salad it was ok. Good location, no more than 20mins walk from anywhere we wanted to go.

Alluring exterior and modern interior

Amazing hotel, even had a puzzle board at the reception which was fun. The room itself was comfortable and they have a generous breakfast selection. I stayed in the middle of Finnish winter with snow everywhere, not a problem until you realise there's no area to wipe off your shoes in your room and no doormat supplied, other than that my stay there was perfect.

Stayed for 8 nights so got a good sense of the hotel. Well run with responsive staff. Very good breakfast - hot and cold - and dinner buffet turned out to be included as well as afternoon tea which I didn't get to try being out all day. Hotel is centrally located and Helsinki is a quiet city so nice area. The room was comfortable and very clean with excellent service, but the mattress on the bed was textured foam which was disappointing for a 4 star hotel. I had asked for a quiet room but there was refurbishment work going on in the room above which was disturbing first thing. I did complain and it got better to some extent. Given the staff knew the noise had been an issue beforehand it was disappointing I was allocated that room. Overall the hotel was a pleasant stay and I would consider staying there again.

Absolutely fabulous architecture and fixtures. Room was super and included meals were more than satisfactory. They’re not big on services. More focused on Eco stuff than safety apparently. Stone stairs to second floor in our section had no handrails and sheer walls to ceiling. Therefore no arm support when climbing and nowhere to grab when descending if one slipped. There is an elevator but it’s only one floor so really. You’d think with thier focus on ecology issues they wouldn’t want to waste the electricity to get up one set of stairs. My wife left after me and had two large suitcases to get to airport. Hotel had no one to help get to lobby and taxi driver wouldn’t help her load them. She’s over 60 but young fit front desk staff were content to passively watch her struggle with the bags.maybe it should be 3 star rating.

Not what I aspekt for the price I pay for one nigh

I have asked for allergy safe room for my night stay in this hotel at the front desk. I have received it. but not what I aspekt it.The air off the room did not cover probably to get rid of room parfum the have been spray after the cleaning the room. The room was on the first floors on the allergy area zone. Seems that the air conditioning was not working properly .I have to change it with a normal room that have been last year renovated. So I picked it.been tired after a long ride I should not struggling with this issues . The air in the room was very dry when I woke up as well cold. Thank God it's was a extra duck blanket to cover up.
