While the facility was clean, it needed serious updating. We had an actual key to our room with a key lock not a card. The bathroom had rusting fixturesbut again clean. The staff was friendly and helpful even though their technology was not cooperating. The view was beautiful and the setting was quaint. The fall decor was tasteful. Breakfast was above average and the breakfast area area was quite nice.

I realize the check-in time was 4; however, we arrived at 2:30. The desk clerk asked us to wait until the room was clean. We didn't actually get checked in until 4:30. The grandson swam in the heated pool in the meantime. The water was great but the room was so hot I couldn't sit in there. The view was amazing as was the mattress. The free breakfast was barely a continental breakfast. I'd probably stay again.

I bet this place was beautiful when it first opened but it needs some some refurbishing/upkeep. I booked it for the hot tub which was broken and sounds like not being fixed anytime soon. That being said, the room was clean, breakfast was adequate, and the staff was great. We had fun playing mini golf and the pools are very large. We enjoyed our stay but definitely wished I had seen it when it first opened.

The pools looked good(we did not use). Resort had great view. Our room did not. Our room had a wet floor and smelled liked it had been flooded. Room was extremely dated. Breakfeast was bare minimum. I would not recommend staying here unless the pool is your goal

This place is hard to describe. It has a retro vintage ski lodge/family car trip feel - like we should have rolled up in a station wagon. The property is beautiful - it would be great for turning the kids loose to play on the grounds, and to enjoy the huge well-maintained pool, etc. Good breakfast and nice spaces (screened porch) to relax with a book. The big drawback is that the property is outdated and needs some upgrades. The mattresses were not the greatest, the parking area is dark and a little unsafe feeling, and our toilet didn’t flush efficiently. Overall a good stay - mainly because it was a beautiful space and a beautiful day. Go enjoy the outdoors!

The room was fifty with stains in thr mattress box .very old furniture very outdated one of the bed has broken arm .breakfast was limited not a lot of variety but what was there it was good. Staff was okay Food okay Room reeked of musty carpets Very small tv Old tired furniture Outside building structure facia rotted with holes. Mini golf tired and all worn out. Parking/roads need to be resurfaced. I have stayed here many many times over the past 50 years with family and friends And for the most part enjoyed our stay. The last 15 or so years, ownership has let this place go to hell. It appears the company who took it over refuses to put any money into it and has let it go to hell. The resort if you want to call it that is very tired. For anyone considering taking their family on vacation to this area, there are many options Too choose from with all the amenities you could want.

Not like I remember 38 years ago. They stated outdoor pool closed for the season however when I looked at pool from a distance pool looked pristine and ready for business.check in was a little rocky, partially my fault, I booked two nights separately the staff combined bookings to one, beginning of second day house keeping knocking on the door thinking we had checked out.

Externally, the place is badly in need of a facelift. The outdoor pool and mini-golf are tragically run-down. The indoor pool may have been better, but we didn't use it. The hot tub was out of commission. Breakfast was decent, it checked the box: pre-made hash browns, sausage, and eggs, good coffee, juices, pastries/cereal. Staff was lovely, grounds are nice, and the view is beautiful. Our room was pretty good but had a bit of an interesting smell. The bathroom sink faucet was stuck, requiring strong effort (two hands) to turn on and off. The room key (still a physical key) does not open the back door to the "porch" so be careful not to lock yourself out. Overall we had a nice stay, apart from some minor distractions and inconveniences.
