Friendly and attentive staff, lovely fresh hot cooked breakfast with quality bacon/sausage, not cheap rubbish! Cosy bar area, very close to Coral Island, but quiet at night. Ten mins walk to Opera House if seeing a show. Free parking, tea, coffee & water in room. Good competitive price for how central it is. Well done all!

Lovely owners. Great location. Really comfortable. Really clean. Enjoyed the stay. I'm not little and the shower cubicle was a bit small for me. I think some breakfast staples could have been added to those already available, like drinks, milk and toast. Definitely recommend staying here, though.

Small room which smelt musty, our towels were dirty and smelly, even after they were changed. Breakfast was burnt on the first day and took 45 minutes to arrive on the second day (we had pre-booked the food) we asked for sauce which never arrived and other guests were complaining. It is a good location to the centre and winter gardens Parking was a bonus but very small spaces Staff were friendly but did not seem to know what they were doing,

Lovely Stay

We had a lovely stay at Raffles Hotel. They really do go the extra mile to ensure the comfort of your stay. We had an extremely busy and what can be stressful weekend Dancing. It was made easier with them accommodating us with early breakfast setting us up for the day, extra parking, helping us with luggage. It was all a huge help and early check in. The room was ready for our early arrival. We would definitely stay at Raffles again.

Positives - good breakfast, parking outside hotel. Negatives - room very small, never had any maid service to empty bins, bathroom sink was dirty, the sink plug was covered in mould and cleaned this ourselves, towels were old and fraying, one pillow (not pillow case) smelt of dried human sweat and when I asked for this to be changed I was told they didn't have any spare ones. Never felt safe especially after sunset walking along Hornby Road. Not a 4* hotel in my opinion.

When I booked this stay, I had checked the reviews and seen all the photos online. It looked and sounded a great place for us to stay. What we found on getting there is a tired and worn out property in need of redecoration and new carpets.. One of the 1st things I noticed was how grubby the carpets were and the wooden stairway were in need of a shampoo. The room was smaller than expected and was cold. Apparently the heating doesn't come on till October. The bathroom was very small and compact and liiked clean until you checked the area around the taps and plug.ce as The towels smelt musty as if they lthey had been stored away damp in a cupboard. We had them replaced twice
