What an amazing location for a staycation! The pool was a highlight with the heated spa! The choice of amazing restaurants just outside your door was exceptional. To enjoy the beach walks and jetty topped off an amazing weekend. We booked a room with sea views and two queen beds and thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in our room in the afternoon, enjoying the sunlight.

We stayed for two nights in a city view room. The room was quiet and dark at night and the bed comfortable. The location is great, close to the jetty, the trams and all the cafes of Jetty Rd. The hotel was good value for the price we paid. Here's a comment I don't think has been made before: The table tennis table in the bar is a great touch but the (rigid metal) "net" is at least 2cm higher than standard.

The room was clean and spacious with a view to the hills. Although it was raining, the pool and spa were still inviting as they were warmer than the air temperature as we visited at the end of winter. Buffet Breakfast was served in The Promenade restaurant which overlooks beautiful Glenelg beach and the jetty. We also had a delightful high tea with sparkling wine. The Grand is very well located near cafes, restaurants, shops and the tram to Adelaide CBD is just outside the entrance,

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Stamford Grand at Glenelg. The location is perfect; right on the beach, close to everything, including the convenient tram to the CBD. The hotel, our room and staff were outstanding.

While showing signs of its age now, this hotel remains a pleasant place to stay. Rooms have been updated nicely, although the bed wasn’t as comfortable as is expected at this class of property. Location is amazing. Literally right on the beach. Rooms were well cleaned and daily servicing couldn’t be faulted. Some of the common areas (eg lobby) look tired and the downstairs windows and doors were overdue for a clean. The car parking requires a voucher from reception every time you exit, which became annoying. Staff were pleasant, but a little disengaged.
