It was a horrible experience.
The location's rules section indicated that front desk check-in is open from 9am till 8pm and the possibility to have a "contactless" check-in otherwise. We were traveling from quite far so we tried calling to inform that we will arrive later than 8pm. Both ourselves and Expedia customer service could not reach the owner on the provided number. Meanwhile, the owner never shared any alternative check-in procedure.
We arrived and had to knock for over 20min for the owner to show up. He was drunk and angry. Got verbally aggressive and was shouting at us. We humored him and managed to calm him down. And he accepted to let us in after a long discussion.
Then, the horror began! We got to our rooms (we booked 2 rooms), the first one had a big frame serving as a bed head containing a broken mirror with large pieced still hanging, had mold all over the walls and a pee stain still wet. The second room had mold and fluid stains all over the walls, bug beds and we found dirty socks and a used condom under the bed. Electric cables hanging in plein sight, broken lights, filthy showers, ...
We decided to leave the location as it was not possible for us to spend the night there.
