I really liked this hotel, right next to Central station. Despite the location, my room was really quiet. I had a single room, which was small but perfectly fine for one person. Good water pressure in the shower and a friendly, helpful reception team.

The location of Hotel Van Gelder was perfect. We could walk to the sites we wanted to see and also meet friends at clubs. And the train station was very close.

I really loved this hotel - I booked it last minute because of the head wave, and the AC was perfect. All the staff were so nice and the location was great too. I would 100% stay here again.

The hotel is in a great location right in the middle of the city and very close to the main train station. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was newly renovated and it was wonderful! Everything was very clean. The only thing to note is the hotel is stairs only and since it's a building from the 1500's the stairs are quite tiny and very steep.

Great location, but noisy. The walls and floors don’t block out much of the sound.

Had a lovely time there and the staff were very welcoming and the location was amazing, will definitely be our first choice hotel if we come back to Amsterdam Thankyou

The hotel is as expected, basic and simple. Selling point is of course the location, which was excellent. Stay was mostly fine, the only complaint is that the bedding smelled funky and wasn't as clean as one would expect. No matter how budget friendly, this is not it! Other than that, the staff were friendly and helpful.
