The only issue is the cleaning crew was not diligent to make sure that the hand soap dispenser is out. The hotel was generally clean. Some parts were a little run down, but nothing major. The pool was very cold, despite been listed as heated - even in the August heat wave! The hotel advertises air conditioning - it does not have A/C!! It has a general 'air cooling system' which doesn't cool the rooms in the slightest. You can't alter the temperature in the room and no cool air comes from the vent. This was confirmed by reception when we reported our 'A/C' not working.

Great overnight stay prior to getting the ferry, staff friendly and helpful. Nice outside pool and sun loungers in garden area, with small football/tennis nets. We didn’t eat here due to visiting Ouistreham and leaving too early in the morning. Clean and comfortable with a nice modern feel.

This is really a 3-star hotel with 2-3 star service. How this can be rated 4-star is beyond me. Staff can not be recognized dressing in casual clothes with no name tags. Most of them would need some serious coaching in service. To me this hotel seems to survive from all the tour groups staying over - probably due to the close proximity to the highway. Pool was well kept! Breakfast ok but a bit dirty!

Easy going hotel in Caen. Very helpful and accommodating staff, nice breakfast. Caen city center 5min drive away. Good "base" to visit and cover the D-Day beaches and key landmarks. Caen is also worth a tournée.
