The staff was very friendly. Check-in was easy. When I first walked into the lobby, it looked like a nice place. The arcade was modern and everything was working properly. We had a little bit of trouble finding our room, and were directed to drive around the back. When we drove around back, I felt like I was driving up to the house in the shining. There were weeds growing up all around, that it felt like the building was abandoned. When I walked into the building, there was a dilapidated piano on the right side with broken keys and a drink bottle on top of it.. The rug had so much dirt, and the walls were scuffed up. When walking down, parts of the floor were sinking underneath. I felt like I was taking my life into my own hands walking down the hall to the elevator. Fortunately, our room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. However, this building should probably be condemned. There are parts of the floor that were loose underneath the carpet. The fixtures and everything in the room was dated. It could definitely use an upgrade. I probably would not stay there again, but it was fine for one night.

We stayed in one of the condo units tucked in the woods and it was very quiet. There were no supplies provided in the kitchen ( dish cloths, soap, etc.) because we were not time share owners, but they were eventually provided when requested. The in room Jacuzzi was great. The property is aging, but is being updated by Wyndham at this time and improvements are expected.

Room was adequate but very old, bathroom food didn’t close, AC and heating was temperamental. We have been staying at Split Rock for more than 20 years now and they need to invest a bit more into the facility. On the upside, the pool is still good, common areas are maintained and gym is newly renovated and with all new equipment.

It was nice there. We stayed at the off-sight units, which was fine with us, we were only staying one night and didn't have any kids with us. It was dated, but very clean. There was probably only 4 other rooms being used in the whole unit, again, it was ok with us. If I could complain about anything, it would be that it had a full kitchen, but no utensils or flatware or a garbage can anywhere. So it was really peaceful. We had a good time.

Booking this I was super excited that we were going to have some awesome place to take our kids for their birthdays and even tho when you come and it looks like a warehouse I was still hopeful. BUT quickly things went downhill, we checked in and went to our room it was 80F in there tried to turn down the temp and checked out the room. Was very told and outdated, BUT ALSO the super disappointing thing was there was still trash in every one of the garbage cans that were in that room, including the nasty diaper in the main bathroom that was stinking up the entire suite. Now If they can’t even take out the trash, I was really doubting that my bedding was even changed. We left and came back and the ac still hadn’t touched the hot room so we went down after calling the front desk and getting no answer. They did thankfully end up changing our room and thankfully a staff member showed us where to go because it was super confusing to even make it back out from the next morning. But this room they assured us was brand new and much nicer, it was still outdated inside was a stove that was from the 80’s or 90’s, little water pressure on the toilet, no way to even make the shower actually turn to the shower head, no shampoo, conditioner, just hand soap. While our air conditioning worked in this room sadly our tv and WiFi didn’t work, at check out the guy wasn’t even sure how to check us out and was having computer troubles. We most definitely won’t be back, very disappointed.

The place is very affordable and clean. The staff is very professional. The one thing was that hot tub wasn’t so hot, the water was mild. The jets were not jetty, rather they were in the weak side. Otherwise, great place for the price.
