The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was really good, tasty and plentiful. The bungalows are perched on the side of a valley with a views from the balcony and bed over to forest. If you have mobility issues this might not suit, there are steep steps to reach the bungalows. There was hot water. The cons for me: I didn't find the mattress very comfy and there was no mosquito net.

The room was pleasant although the steps to reach some of rooms a bit hazardous. Nice hot water and constant electricity. Good WFI but not in the bedroom. Staff helpful and available but where not so good at organising transport away from the hotel which is away from the town. The food was pretty good and varied but quite expensive.

Beautiful place, the owner is very hospitable and the staff very kind. They made our stay fantastic. We stayed in the juior suite, that had a great view with a nice terrace and a small river next to it. The food was fantastic and no inconveniences afterwards :) The room could use some small renovations, but all the rest made up for that.

10 bungalows in the middle of breathtaking nature. Everything works as it should, but some repairs are necessary. The staff is very kind and warmhearted, the food selection is rather small but very tasty. We really enjoyed our stay and the visit of the Ranomafana National Park, the thermal baths, and the village itself.

Ranomafana honeymoon trip

Wonderful location, great views and excellent service. Big breakfast with fruit, pancakes, bread & jam and omelette. Bathroom needed some maintenance (no shower fixing and shower tray leaked). Tap water does come out brown sometimes. Lots of wildlife visible in the grounds too. Overall we were glad we stayed here for 3 nights.

Very old bungalow, badly maintained. Lovely surroundings and view. It hasn't the swimming pool advertised on the internet. Nice staff. We didn't eat, just had breakfast, and it was correct. They charge more taxes (4000A/night) than the tourist one (1000 A/night) indicated in the reservation.

You do it for the nature and the kind people in the accommodation. We had a great view in hut 9. You have to do some climbing down (stairs) to get there, but that is worth it. The accommodation itself is really bed. The cushion were not cleaned at all, the mattress was completely worn down. So don’t do it for the comfort. The food we had here was better than in hotel thermal.

Au Domnatur fair review

Amazing location right in the heart of the national park so a really good spot to be based from. The high level bungalows are a steep 5-7 minute walk from reception. Advantages - great views across the rainforest canopies / Disadvantages - not at all suitable for those with accessibility needs and quite basic furnishings but to be honest we only used them to sleep in. Included breakfast was very good and wholesome. We only ate there one night for dinner and whilst convenient if you’re tired, there are better places in the village 5 minutes ride away.

misleading pictures

Don't believe the pictures, the swimmingpool doesn't exist! After a visit to the national park (which was extremely valuable!!) this was a dissapointment. Dinner as well as breakfast is poor. On the other hand: beautiful environment, breathtaking views, clean rooms.

The views are awesome and the big glassdoors and balcony help with enjoying the scenery. The garden is very nice. Yet, in our first bungalow the toilet had problems, the lights flickered, the mattress was lumpy and the fridge didn't work. So, we changed to another bungalow. The fridge again didn't work, but the rest was ok. Parking was kind of insecure just next to the busy road. Dinner and breakfast were ok. Plus points for the service to bring tea to the room and organise a guide.

To be honest if you want a relaxed quiet place in nature with an awesome view from the balcony from each wooden hut, lovely people, close to the national park entrance and Good Food (chicken leg was delicious).. choose this Place! (Do not expect shishi or luxury) but therefore you get unique spacious hut with a beatiful view to just relax after the national park hikes :)

The bungalows are spacious and have wonderful views across the valley. Staff are friendly and helpful. It is a pleasant 15 minute walk to the village, well worth it for the views and peaceful ambience.
