Upon check-in, the staff gave us recommendations of places to eat and ways to get around the city. They toured us through the property to show the available amenities and times they were available. They walked us to our room to make sure the room was suitable. The room was excellent and clean. The breakfast was buffet style, but not a regular buffet style hotel breakfast. It provided excellent choices that were handmade each morning. We enjoyed our stay here.

Absolutely amazing hotel with lively staff. Calm and chill area with short distance to the beach and with rental bikes you are a few minutes from the city center. We enjoyed our honeymoon here, and felt welcomed by the staff from the very first day we arrived. The hotel also gifted us a wonderful gift due to our honeymoon. I will recommend for everyone who wants a calm and peaceful stay away from the business of tourists and also a closeness to it at the same time. I recommend listening to the staff’s recommendations regarding restaurants. We were very happy following those. Lovely, lovely, lovely

On our two week vacation Residence Vaal was our favorite place we stayed. Breakfast spread was phenomenal, room was spacious and clean, grounds were well maintained, location is terrific!

Very clean place. Friendly and smiling staff good the hotel had bicycles so we didn’t have to walk into town. Breakfast buffet was outstanding. Maybe the coffee machine could be better. All in all we had a wonderful time.

The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. Staff were really helpful and the place was spotless and we felt that staff worked hard to make it unique and give it that personal touch. Little things like homemade cakes and canapés as part of breakfast were wonderful and really made this place stand out. It’s in a great location too- we walked to the beach and into town and made use of the free bike rental service. I would 100% recommend this place.

We had a wonderful stay at Residence Vaal. The rooms were spotless, very clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated with thoughtful details and all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was excellent with great options and everything fresh and well prepared. What made the experience even better was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Their hospitality made us feel truly cared for. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to others visiting the area.

Excellent, highly recommended.

Lovely hotel, in a quiet spot on the outskirts of Rovinj. We walked into town each evening (20-25 mins) and got a taxi back. The beach is a five minute walk away, but you can walk for ages in either direction and find lovely spots to sunbathe. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean. The breakfast each morning was brilliant - lots of variety, freshly cooked pastries, fresh fruit - different each day. The staff team is excellent. Always friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble and always a friendly smile. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Lovely small, friendly hotel with quiet lounge areas to enjoy. Staff extremely helpful. Close to beach and a nice 25 minute walk into town. First hotel we’ve been to that did not provide coffee tea facilities in the room which was very disappointing. Only tea and water available in the breakfast area during afternoon/evening. No milk provided. Coffee machine sadly unavailable during the afternoon/evening.

We had an amazing two-day stay at this beautiful and tranquil hotel. The experience started with a fantastic breakfast that included everything you could possibly want. The staff were incredibly polite and welcoming. The hotel itself is tastefully decorated and meticulously clean. Our room was cozy, well-maintained, and in excellent condition. The hotel’s location is perfect—just a 5-minute walk to the beach, and bikes are available if you want to explore more of the coastline. The city center is also within walking distance, about 30 minutes away. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Rovinj!

Practically Perfect!

We made the right decision to take our first trip to Croatia, the right decision to visit Istria, the right decision to stay in Rovinj & absolutely hit the bullseye with Residence Vaal. This is an absolute gem of a property & Denis, Aleksandra and their team, particularly Laura & Aleksandar, could not have done more to make our trip a thoroughly enjoyable one, & to ensure that we want to hurry back. Residence Vaal is extremely comfortable, well equipped and almost surgically clean. The setting, slightly away from the centre of town is peaceful & it's ideally placed for Cuvi beach. The breakfasts are fresh, varied and generous, and offer a great selection, including marvellous home-baked daily delicacies. The pool area is an oasis of peace, with added hydromassage! All these tangible attributes are practically perfect, but what really made our trip was the extremely friendly, uber helpful and above-and-beyond service. I cannot recommend Residence Vaal highly enough!

Mooi complex, schoon en rustig. Een fiets of auto is wel noodzakelijk. Heerlijk zwembad. Badlakens kunnen elke dag gevraagd worden bij receptie. Bij inchecken kregen we de verkeerde kamer maar dit werd snel opgelost. Ontbijt is heel uitgebreid en elke dag anders. Jammer dat er geen parasols op het terras bij de kamer staan, hierdoor kan je er pas in de avond zitten. Kamer is verder netjes. Fietsverhuur is rommelig. Slechte staat van fietsen en de ebikes worden pas opgeladen als je er om vraagt. Dit is een aandachtspunt. Overdag kan je wel een drankje bestellen of fruit pakken. Iets kleins te eten is er helaas niet. Supermarkt wel binnen straal van 1 km. Op de dag van vertrek moesten we vroeg vertrekken. Gevraagd of ontbijt eerder mogelijk was. Dit was niet het geval. Jammer voor de prijs die je betaalt. Precies toen de taxi aankwam werd ons toch ontbijt aangeboden, dit was helaas te laat. Personeel werkt hard, om gasten een fijn verblijf te geven.

Ein ganz tolles kleines Hotel, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Das Zimmer sauber und sehr ruhig. Das beste, frischeste Frühstück was wir je in einem Hotel hatten. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistung Verhältnis.
